Advice needed for Purchase of new build

Hi - no you get an integrated kitchen - the upgrade is a better quality of appliances. Please don't take my figures as gospel for pricing as it was for a large-ish 4 bed and over 6 months ago so my memory has probably played tricks on me.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

Feline_friendly: You should have got a sheet from GW with their specification in it. That lists all the stuff you do get. Then there is an options list in the same booklet that lists the things you can get, but no prices are shown.
You do get some stuff, but not enough to make a house a home if you know what i mean...Sarah.

We didnt get a sheet we just got the brochure...maybe we get that if we reserve the plot??
You did get me worried for a mo though...i though it alot of money to add ontop of the house price.
We should get our offer off GW on Friday, but the EA who came this morning says we wont get the price we are after....so we will see.0 -

I didn't have to reserve a plot to get mine. I just got it in the post after i'd enquired about the site. Maybe just ask the sales person for yours. It's quite useful.Sarah.

If this is any help as guideline prices, I have been looking at Miller Homes and had ball park figs for the following;
Fire electric - £750+
Fire gas - £1400+
Wardrobes - £400+ per room
Double oven - £300
Upgrade cooker hood £120
Tiles upgrade from £60
Dishwasher £650
Fridge Freezer £995
Upgrade kitchen units £200 - £800
Hope this helps!0 -
Great stuff Geordiescouse, thanks for that info.
Question ? If we were to buy the appliances, obviously integrated friendly ones, would it be easy to just ask the builder to leave the fixings etc and then for us to integrate it ourselves? Or would they not leave the fixings and just put normal units in? It seems the appliances are where the cost is at.
Thanks in advance0 -
Thanks for that....does give a rough idea. Some stuff qiute expensive though....hum.
I am hoping to hear from GW about the part ex offer either today or tomorrow and have another EA coming this morning so we know how much our house is actually worth to compare0 -
That's wise feline. When GW made our offer they offered us quite a bit below the valuations we'd received from the two estate agents we had instructed to give us a valuation directly.Sarah.
