Well, I think we may just have to agree to disagree - seeing as I'm a Bath fan:rotfl:
And I normally support the 'someone else' if I'm honest, but the 'someone else' is France:p0 -

We've found that not eating takeaways saves on calories too, which can't be a bad thing.

So this week I am planning on more of the same!
Well done :j :T It's great when a new project is so satisfying and saves you money, too
I'll add this to today's Old Style Daily thread where Old Stylers talk about their OS days.

Well done Buddingblonde :T
Had a wonderful day yesterday, went to one of my very favourite places Hodsock Priory to see the winter garden display. Although not many hellebores had burst into bloom the snowdrops were starting to put on a good display. The snow had held them back which also meant there were less visitors than in recent years - a plus as it has been getting a bit like the M1 walking round the gardens (probably my own fault for recommending the gardens to everyone!)
When I came back walked down our lane to the post box, the sun was shining, spotted some new chickens wandering around in a garden, then walked down our garden to see what was starting to push through the soil, and thought to myself "what a great day to be alive".
Hope everyone is ok, hugs to those who are sad, poorly or worried and furry purrs to all the pets.0 -
Evening all,
Up at 5 am to take DD4 and DGS2 to airport for holiday in Austria...came home and got into bed again and slept until almost noon...nothing OS or otherwise done since...read the paper and had two lots of callers so haven't had time.
Dinner is steak, mushrooms and onions....bought by OH in honour of the day, no cards or inflated priced flowers here!
DD4 sent text saying that nobody speaks English where they are staying so that should be interesting...she speaks French, English, Irish and a little Italian so think she may be buying a phrase book!
Have a good evening all

Little bear can turn a tap on all the way now. So far he has shown no inclination to turn it off... I am extremely glad that we are not on a water meter because for the first time today he flushed the toilet by himself. He is, of course, still in nappies, but he just enjoys seeing the toilet flush.
No OS here today, except a small amount of ironing. We saw three houses today, none of which will do. It is very depressing. The third one we didn't even go in as the steps up to it were mountainous and I knew that I couldn't manage it.

Evening everyone. it's been a rough couple of days so I have only just managed to make it back here tonight.
After spending a lovely day on Thursday with Tru it got wrecked that evening when I went to pick OH up from work to discover him kissing his boss. Friday morning Dad had another small stroke and had to be taken into hospital, I had to take mum shopping as soon as he'd gone off in the ambulance, got her home, picked up my DD, straight back to the hospital where I sat with dad for 2 hours until they found him a bed. This morning I had to take DD to ballet, drive 10 miles to my parents to pick up dad's things, back to the hospital again and try to get home for 3pm as my Asda delivery was arriving. DS's hair also had to be straightened as he is taking his GF out to see some bands tonight. Just waiting to get DD off to bed so I can finally sit down and relax for a bit.
On top of that my sister is in Cheltenham hospital having surgery after being attacked by a feral cat, my nephew who has recently been diagnosed with MS is also in hospital with pneumonia and my neice has had a car accident. It never rains but it pours.0
