Morning :hello:
Woohoo, Aussie's back:hello:
I've been thinking about how things are in our house, and I'm not happy  So a few changes are needed. I'll only list 2 changes today because it's a long list and it'd take all day to type it out
1. Mr tru went waaaaaay over budget AGAIN yesterday so I told him I'm definitely going shopping with my mum from now on, and if there's anything he wants he can buy it himself. "When?" "On your way home from work, during your lunch hour, on your day off. I don't care really" "Oh. OK"
2. One of the shops that sells my cards is impossible for me to get to on my own (I don't drive). It's in Chepstow, mr tru spotted it one day, went in and asked if they'd like to sell my things, they said yes and he came home and told me. He said we'd go over once a month. Now he whines about going so I told him I'd have to take my things out of there unless he does the dropping off on his way home from work - he agreed - the owner's happy with that so he had no choice really. So I now have an unpaid rep
When he changes jobs, we'll lose our supply of eggs. I really want to stick to small family business (shop on their own bit of land) or garden gate buying so I need to find out about that. There's a farm shop quite near me that I love but it's become a bit more business-like than it was, I want that real home-grown thing it used to have - people that are proud of their chooks for all those eggs and are excited about selling their home-grown stuff
So time to re-jiggle the yearly plan againI have more food planned for the freezer, new ideas for the garden, 2 new places to sell my cards (not happening yet but it's definite), a new thing to make and sell :silenced:. And lots of scraps of paper to re-work the budget  :rotfl:

Squigly, have you got the new CK bag ? they have it in our Mr T, a deep blue with roses on ? very pretty. xx
Oooh, new ones??! I thought they were only doing them up till Xmas - I wonder if we had them earlier as I've got a dark blue with roses?? They did it in pale green too - sounds like the same one? I found I was more able to get them in the Littlehampton Mr T on the way to Bognor, than I was here in EB. (Thank you for the tip, I shall look though). My little sis is planning to move back here in the next few months so I shan't be getting over there so much - not that I get there very often now as it is.
Good luck at the dentist too.
Hester, lol - hope your DH appreciated his present!!!! And any other DH's/partners receiving the same..... My time will come. However I may be 90 years old by then!!!Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
Good morning everyone,
Not been posting or reading for ages - real life has been getting in the way of my computer time im afraid!!! But i hope that everyone is well, and ((HUGS)) to anyone who wants, or needs one xxx
Saying that, not a lot has been happening here - work is ok, have an 11 month old baby here which is why im not on the computer much now as she needs my attention, but it is lovely having a baby here. My 2 are now on half term, which i love, and as i have a surprise day off next tuesday, DD and i are going into town to have our hair done, im planning a completely different style, whether i will be brave enough im not sure, but thats the plan. DS is staying at a friends house whilst we have our girly time, and it will also be my chance to reward DD for the brilliant parents evening i had last week, i came out from it with my head a million times bigger, its so nice to find out that not only is she doing so well in her lessons, she is an absolute pleasure to have in the class. Of course, i knew that cos she is a wonderful daughter, but to be told by her teacher was such a blessing.
Unfortunatly the same cant be said of DS. Even though he is a clever boy he is incredibly lazy and as he is coming up to be a teenager (12 1/2) he wont be told. He is going through life thinking everything is going to land in his lap, and i think thats my fault, as ive always made sure they dont go without anything. As a single mum (and im sure a few of you will remember my previous rants about their 'bad dad') although i cant always afford what their friends have, ive always made up for it in different ways, the most important being love and support, ive never wanted them to feel that they have missed out on anything because of their dad. I think this has made DS very complacent, if i can provide all i do on my own, its going to be easy for him (and he knows i will always be there for him, no matter what) so why push himself!!! If i thought his dad would give some help and support, i would ask for it, but to be honest i know he would only make things worse (he thought DSs last school report, which DS himself was really disappointed with) was really good. Serves me right for having children with an idiot i suppose.
Saying that, DS is also wonderful (ive been very lucky with my 2) - i just wish he would think about how not studying a bit harder now will affect his future, but it is his future and his life and i can only do so much, and offer so much support for him. Hopefully he will realise before its too late.
Anyway, ive drivelled on long enough now - DS has a football match today, the first one not called off by the weather for weeks so i need to get cracking before we have to go. The BM is already on, and i need to get the WM on as well, so thats my next job!!
I hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all long time no see! Have been lapsing a bit in the OS ways but I went back to Slimming World in Nov and I am doing well this time (see sig) and that is mainly because I have been cooking from scratch and batch cooking so no more processed junk. Need to have a massive declutter and spring clean so generally get back into the OS habit!
We are having a stay at home day today so I can catch up on everything. Will be making cakes with the kids this afternoon and must not eat any - how hard is that going to be! Also need to do a weeks worth of Flylady today so that will be fun!
Hope everyone is well - big hello to everyone I havent met yet - its been a long time!
Off to search for a recipe for something to do with all the chicken thighs I bought on offer x x x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Happy Valentine's Day!!
Tru - You tell him!!
Well I'm a single lady, so no romance for me today, but I don't mind because I'm waaaaaaaaaay too busy for lurve right now - how anybody keeps a relationship together in final year is beyond me!!
Plans today are shopping (already done) at work until 5.00, then me and a girlfriend are off to watch England V Wales down the pub with the uni rugby team, then a loads of my girlies are meeting at one of our houses to cook and drink wine and watch films and generally be very girly :j
The play's in nine days:eek::eek::eek: my lines are completely learnt now, but I had a costume fitting last night - oh boy! I need to hit the gym!!! My costume is slightly, errrrr, revealing!! Need to stop the chocolate habit
I hope everyone has a lovely Vally's Day whether you're single or loved-up, and *huuuuuugs* to anybody who needs one

Hi
Up at 5.30am this morning as couldnt sleep and kept awake most of the night by Fatcat scratching about and meowing:rotfl:
Not sure what me and DS are doing today.....he did want to go to the museum but has now changed his mind:rolleyes: ..we do need to go to the library though to pick up some books.
Had a big meeting this week with school and the autism support team...they all feel that once he moves into juniors from infants( yr4 I think....he is in Y1 at the mo) we will need to look at integrated resource school for him as the autism and his APD means that he will find it difficult once things get more academic:rolleyes: . I already knew this deep down but has now been confirmed....whatever is best for him I guess.
DS has requested HM chicken pie for his tea.
Myself and OH are having chilli vodka pasta made with heart shaped pasta( corny I know:o ) and salad and HM garlic bread, then strawberries and choc roulade and a bottle of pink bubbly.
I have got him a card and he says I will get a surprise later
Also a big pile of ironing to do again:mad: my worst job!
well off to nag DS into getting dressed( can take a while as he likes to do it himself but he finds it difficult and it takes forever;) )
have a good day0 -
Good morning everyone, and happy valentine's day to those who celebrate it.
Cold and rainy here today which is the complete opposite of what was forecasted.
I have general tidying up to do today, will dust and hoover also. I also need to make bread and some rolls as we're nearly out. I'm going to make some crescent rolls along with the regular ones for our roast dinner tomorrow. I love them hot out of the oven. I'll put the dough for those in the refrigerator before the first rising and hopefully they'll do ok tomorrow.
Tea tonight is undecided but afters will definitely be Thriftlady's chocolate pudding cake.DH and I do not really celebrate valentine's day so not going to plan anything special for tonight.
We both skipped breakfast this morning but he has a hearty packed lunch so ought to be ok. My appetite is still off and I'd like to climb in bed and sleep all day. I'm so tired of being tired and just not feeling well all the time.
Aussie, welcome home. Glad you enjoyed your holiday.
(((((((((((Sybil)))))))))))) Special hugs to you sweetie. I know how hard it is to push yourself out the door when not in a good place. When I do go out, even for just a short time I usually feel better. Hoping things get better for you very soon.:grouphug:
((((((((((Hugs))))))))) to those feeling poorly and to everyone else also.
Hoping for a good day for all.

Morning All,
I've calmed down now after my rant of last night. It felt better to be able to share it all on this thread - thanks.
Not much on today I'm planning on a lazy afternoon reading the paper as my Mum is taking my youngest swimming & dd & bf are going too to 'Help Nana' :rotfl: The bf & I are making pizza for everyone's evening meal tonight we're both looking forward to it. The bread flour is already on the worktop readyWe're going to make two large cooking tray size ones & everyone can have a third each with whatever toppings they want on it. It'll look like a dogs breakfast going into the oven I'm sure but it'll be to everyone's requirements
Lunch is veg & lentil soup that I've made & whatever sandwich they all want to help themselves to!
Have a good day everyone & don't let the commercialism that is valentines day get to you. Hugs to all having treatment (Pen Pin especially) feeling unwell or down.

Welcome back, Aussie!
Hi to Penguin!
Tru - why don't men just do as they're told? It would make everyone's life easier!
Well, the sun is beaming away here but we have a hard frost that's only just going.
We've had a lazy breakfast but DH is going to get his hair cut then do a quote, so I'm just about to prep the veg for today and tomorrow's dinner.
Hope everyone is having a good Saturday!
