AppleMint, I love that "weekend feeling" as well, just a chance to chill-out, potter & bake.... Are you still reading the Housewife49 books?
Squiggly Diddly, I've finished them now and passed them on to OH to read
I'm now working my way through a book of 400 sauce recipes (bought cheap from a Bookpeople sale at work). OH can't understand how I can read a recipe book just like a work of fictionEnjoying an MSE OS life0 -

I'm back.We had a lovely time on our cruise. Went on as passengers but came off as cargo. Diet and exercise on the top of the must do list.
DGS had a ball. Loved kids activities onboard. NZ was lovely although wasn't keen on Auckland. They all talked really weird.
Been raining all day today which has been pleasant seeing as I've had heaps of washing to do. DD staying tonight and cooking tea for me. DS2 arriving on Monday for holidays. I expect I'll have to look at shopping before then. How come my holiday already seems a distant memory.
Had terrible weather while I was away. I lost a few shrubs from no water. Bad bush fires in Melbourne. A real tragedy. I haven't read the threads but I hope everyone has been well and happy. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Welcome back! Im glad that you had a great time on your cruise:T :T:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

hello peeps:hello:
Been busy at w*rk and then pooooped in evenings and haven't been up to much.
Hope those feeling poorly are feeling a bit better today. Sun shone here yesterday and that felt good! Nice and crisp morning now.
I have to do some washing, tidy and hoover and quick dust to livingroom so it is presentable (not that anyone is coming!). Tea is going to be either chilli or spag bol. Mince anyway. A bottle of wine and that will be our lovely Sat night tea;). I need to have a sort out of our freezer and make a menu plan from it as there are lots of containers and freezer bags with HM portions. Freezer needs defrosting soon so that should help with the grocery budget. I have a list of receipts so must update sig.
Nice plan for the day is going to hairdresser. That's at 10 so will have to remember to put my specs in my handbag so I can have a relaxing read of magazines. Hoping at some point to buy curtains for top and bottom stair windows.
Have a good weekend

Happy Valentines Day everyone.I hope everyone who wished for a card or flowers got them this morning or there are going to be some serious deaf and dumb breakfasts going on:rotfl:
Hubby is working today so will have to wait till mid afternoon to open our cards.I'm cooking him a nice meal and have a bottle of pink cava waiting in the fridge for tonight.Hopefully I will have some energy left by then for a little after meal entertainment;)
The kids are going to a play centre tomorrow so I've declared today a stay at home day and by the look of the grey skies outside its a good idea.I've got quite a bit of housework to catch up on and need to get the BM's on this morning as I need ordinary bread and a posh herby bread thing for tonights meal (note the technical term). As always a pile of washing and ironing awaits my attention so need to crack on with that too
Sold some unwanted items on Ebay yesterday so have a few extra quid to spend on something nice, only trouble is I cant decide what to spend it on.I might use it to book a pitch for when we go camping in June. What do you think?
MSD-Ginger cake mmmmmm love the stuff but dont make it as only me eats it and I'm big enough as it is:o.You and Tristan made your peace yet?
Aussie-glad you enjoyed the cruise but it amused me with the comment about people in Auckland talking funny. In what way funny?

:smileyhea Morning all,
Happy Valentines day to those celebrating, I got up to a lovely card and a beautiful box of thorntons chocs, wonder who they are from
.
Aussie, its good to have you back again, glad you had a good time xx
Smokey hope you feel better soon xx
Well I went to bed just after nine last night, and woke at 7.30 this morning, so must have needed it, my head and back still ache, but I feel better than yesterday, thanks for the good wishes.
DD and are off to the dentist today, we had an appointment for monday, but they keep phoning up and cancelling time after time, the dentist only works school hours, so I have to take dd out of school for an afternoon each time  so anyway they phoned to cancel again, and I got quite cross on the phone, so they have arranged for us to go in today, its only a checkup and hopefully we won't need any work doing.
When we get back dd is off out with her dad, and I hope to get out for a walk with little dog, will see how I feel.
Bit of a use up the left overs for tea, I have some sausages in the freezer which need using, will make up some burgers, and have these with an egg and beans and some rolls, nice and easy
Got the first of three washes on, will hang them out today, as its nice, but cold.
Squigly, have you got the new CK bag ? they have it in our Mr T, a deep blue with roses on ? very pretty. xx
Well OH is cooking me mushrooms on toast, so better finish, have good days all xx

I actually meant ALL people in NZ talked funny. They have weird accents to me.
During the week I'll put some photo's up in my album to cheer you all up.I just saw the bad weather you've been having. I've been out of the loop re: news of late.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
I'm sure everyone here knows by now that hubby got the same gift for Valentines day as he did for his birthday, for doing the decorating, for Christmas, for working as a litter picker, etc etc, lol.

Morning everyone and a Happy Valentine's Day!
Welcome back Aussie - glad to hear you had a lovely time
Smokey - hope you're on the mend, D&V is never nice, sounds like a viral dose
Tru - I can relate to what you say about husband doing shopping! Mine comes back with stuff we don't need or won't use and spends a fortune in the process.
Well, I got my Valentine's card this morning and it made me laugh :rotfl: DH is off out to rugby training and there's a match on this morning too.
I've got a load of washing on the line and keeping one eye on the weather, as it's meant to rain later. A few jumpers in on a delicate wash just now. I've got lots of recycling to do, so going to gather it all together and take it to the bring bank that's up the road.
Going to do some studying this morning and then this afternoon the plan is to watch the Six Nations rugby matches that are on - just hope they're good games. Not so sure that Scotland are going to do it against France, but I can hope!
Need to take some chicken out of the freezer so that I can make a curry for tonight's tea, lunch will be soup and bread.
Have a good day everyone!0
