I have been reading this thread for a while, but this is my first post here and just wanted to say thanks to all for posting offers they find and to Liverbird for keeping it updated :T

ACM was unkind to me also! First time in ages I have been in Boots and came out empty handed.
One bright spot was when a woman came up to me as I was looking at the skincare and asked me if I could use a couple of skincare vouchers!0 -

It's amazing how the machines don't get fixed sometimes - how tough can it be to get a repairman out to your huge multinational company...
I'm not sure if Boots ever give cash back - it seems to usually be exchanges instore so I'm not sure if it's worth buying anything big because the best you might get is a balance on a gift card - still to be spent in Boots.
I don't have a lot to buy in Boots either but do have a large points balance so I'm happy sometimes to buy things like the Sensodyne dispenser toothpaste at Boots on 3 for 2 without price checking all the Savers and Bodycares.I also stick with Boots brand water filter cartridges with my Boots brand water filter even though I think some of the Brita would fit and are sold in multipacks at Robert Dyas. I buy at '2 for £5' though, or if I must '3 for 2' so I think the difference stays negligible. I also did various Christmas present shopping on parcel 3for2 which did mean bigger gifts for the money spent. Mostly I use Boots for little luxury things that might be a bit nicer than I'd otherwise buy - ie make-up from brands like Ruby&Millie, Urban Decay and now Jemma Kidd. I've also be prone in the past of guilt at not being good at skincare and suddenly deciding to do it 'properly' by buying all the steps at Elizabeth Arden! Boots spend so much time pushing skincare through one voucher offer or another that I've not fallen in that hole again!
Mostly though my points stay put on the card - may as well as they don't expire. It's a shame you can't spend them in the Opticians though - my OH has just been told to get glasses and as aftercare is great in our branch I will consider buying there.
I really don't know what the arcane formula is for vouchers offered on the machine but I seem to get a good range of them (usually 20 odd pages to scroll through for all offers). Perhaps lots of credit on the card is seen as encouraging, plus I also spend cash sums (when more points are on offer!) I think the only downside to being Madam Valued Customer is that the total spend I'm offered is 350 points for £40 spend - I would love to get the 75 for £10 that lots of folk here are offeredDo I Need One Stops All Unnecessary Reckless Spending£2 CSC - £30 :kisses3:0 -

Me too! I can't even remember the last time I spent a large cash sum, but they're all I get from the ACM!In a Den first, Theo Paphitis has been getting business information from a talking tree.0 -
Hmm here's a good one for you, if i were to purchase a £10 gift voucher would i qualify for the skincare voucher? i figure that i've spent about £30 quid lately in Boots and if I had got 3x£10 gift voucher i'd have 3 skincare voucher even before I had started buying ei and no 7

no good offers on the AC machine today, but mum got some radox body wash, reduced to 74p a bottle and on BOGOF, it was the lavander one to help you with a good nights sleep!!
I also got some Kangol mens body spray, it was Kangol no 1 and a bit like the old/new TS items, it had been placed by a shelf label which said £2.99 now 75p, but scanned at £2.99, i told the SA who went and had a look and apologised and put the 6 through at 75p each
Mum had a meal deal so we went over £10 between us ( mum paid !!!) and I got another £5 voucher, so a good day for me !!ADOPT DONT SHOP......🐕🐕🐕🐕0 -

Don't think they give out points when you buy them, as you get points when you use them. But I'm happy to be corrected if anyone has found differently!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Machine was rubbish for me today too. Think it must have been the worst yet. Bought a couple of kids polo shirts in the reduced section. The extra 25% only came off the sale price. It didn't even go through as reduced the first time. Noticed after I'd paid so she refunded and started again. Only spent £2.41 in there today which is good for me.If I had known then what I know now . . .

The AD machines are indeed a very strange creature.
On friday I went in to a Boots and got a 50 points for a £7.50 spend. But today it was 150 points for a £20 spend
Anyway today got a few items. Bought some eden perfume for £9.99 bunged in a packet of Bodyform as I already had a 50p off voucher. Had a £5 gift voucher as well. So got perfume and bodyform for £5.49p cash plus a skin care voucher.
Husband got some bargain King of Shaves I had a £1 off voucher so after voucher 45p :j Had a lot of KOS stuff reduced. Shame I did not have more vouchers. Wonder if the stuff would have worked on the spend £10 get £4 off
Yours
