Guys i dunno whether you can help me. I have 1418 in points on my advantage card. Another 1063 is sitting there waiting in pending until Boots gets their act together and fix their advantage card machines that have been broken for months. I have a £2 paper gift voucher, and a 1000 points coupon which i was given as compensation from when i made a complaint about their advantage card machines, that has to be added to my account manually.
On top of that i have about £7 left of a christmas gift voucher.
Now, theres nothing else i really want or need and cant see the majority of these points being spent for months. Do you think, if i buy a higher priced item, and take it back a few days later (with the receipt), i will get cash back?
Equally, if i start collecting points with you. It stands a chance i will stack up a fair few points behind me, will i be able to buy something with the points and take it back for the cash? You see, these points are all well and good, but if theres nothing you really want or need, they are a bit worthless in the saving money department if you see what i mean. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I had a receipt that a young girl said just pop in next time and we will add the points on..She didn't sign it so next time I went into boots and asked them to add the points they wouldn't as my receipt wasn't signature validated...0

Judi, AFAIK you would just get the points credited to your account again and any cash that was paid would be refunded to you. This happened with something I took back a while ago.
BUT.......Boots seem to change their policy depending on who serves you so perhaps you might get away with it?Herman - MP for all!0 -

I bought a few items and the total came to £10.23. I used 5 of the bodyform £1 vouchers and paid the remaining £5.23 in cash.
When I asked the SA if I got the voucher she looked at me as if I was stupid and said "no you have only spent £5.23".
I think I should have got a voucher as my total "spend" came to over £10......... what do you think??
Hi there, I spent £11.63 yesterday, and paid £5.00 of that with Bodyform coupons, SA gave me the voucher without any prompting. I'd go back in with your receipt and point out that you used manufacturer's coupons, and Boots get the cash refunded for these anyway (or some kind of deal with Bodyform), and please can you now have the missing voucher.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

In my local boots yesterday all the Piz Buin fake tanning lotions and sprays and mousses were reduced to £2.99 (still on their proper shelf)
This is a good deal as they are really great products ( 2 shades were available)travelover0 -
Is it just me and I know I shouldn't really complain because they are free but, has anyone else noticed how inferior Bodyform are compared to Always? I'm getting through the packets much quicker!
Also, when you all order from Boots online...are you doing it through one of the cashback sites? If not, think about it, I use Bighair and get 3% back on any Boots spending.

Hi carol_a
I have to agree with you, My daughter was the first to try them and she said they were useless, I thought she was just being fussy but I've since tried them and I find them much too thin, I won't be using them again.0 -
Yeah when i told my mum we were getting them as freebies, she wasnt really interested as she didnt like them. I prefer Always but quite happy to use Bodyform if they are free!! In that case then, i might as well replace my Lancome L'Extreme mascara. Its my favourite mascara, but at £17 a time, its hardly very moneysaving.:mad:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
