Hmm here's a good one for you, if i were to purchase a £10 gift voucher would i qualify for the skincare voucher? i figure that i've spent about £30 quid lately in Boots and if I had got 3x£10 gift voucher i'd have 3 skincare voucher even before I had started buying ei and no 7

    Has anyone tried this?

I don't mind asking this hypothetically next time I'm in Boots - let us know if you find out from Customer Services in the meantime :)

Have no idea why not ring up customer services and ask them they should be able to tell you and it will only cost you a phone call.

If you where going to buy the gift card anyway it is worth a try but if you buying just to get skincare voucher then it has to be your call and you will have to take a chance.

And the point I was trying to make was that treat giftcards differently to other purchases as you don't get points. So they may be excluded like formula from the £10 spend.

AH i see what you mean Calley (about gift cards)
I might call cust services tomorrow.
A lot of people on this board say that they bought this and that to take their total over £10 so they get a skincare voucher. I just though if you KNOW you are going to make sure you spend £10 anyway then why not buy a £10 giftcard firstly and maybe get a skincare voucher THEN get your shopping using the giftcard.

Can I just clarify Calley (or anyone else)
    1) when you purchase a £10 gift card you DO NOT get points

    2) when you spend your £10 giftcard do you qualify for points?

    Thanx in advance

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but I bought two of the T&G Style Pallets (blue or pink cases with six mini pots - 25ml - of gel etc inside them) - they're £9.99 each, but went through the till as part of the buy 2 for £7 offer. For £3.50 each they're a fab buy for gifts and it looks like it cost a lot more

I ummed and ahhed over those for a while the other day but as it was with intention of giving to a boy I decided in the end that they were a bit girlie (plus I just couldn't decide on a second thing if I ignored the pink one!) Great deal though for anyone who likes to throw some shapes with their hair!

So you can find them in Cheltenham if that's a help for anyone.

Could be that I was not making my self very clear :rotfl:

    1) That is correct you don't get any points. The receipt that comes from the till is to go with the gift card so the person who recieves it will know how much it is worth.

    2) yes when you spend it you do get points see here more info.

    Hope that helps.

I like your thinking there :)

You are correct on one and on 2) yes you qualify for points. I suspect you probably also qualify for a voucher at the time of spending rather than when buying the voucher - but as I mentioned in previous post I don't mind asking that next time I'm in.

Just back from a weekend in Inverness - Taught my friend how to 'bootsie' Got 4 packets of Bodyform, in 2 lots - using money off vouchers, got a few goodies from a reduced display ( it was the shopping mall boots - not the retail park one) flash - mark & stain eraser pack of 2 £1, Gul Active Body Aloe Vera After Sun gel was £5.50 - paid 50p,The Spa Calming and relaxing bath crystals ( green tube) 250g 25p & Hat & Mitt Set Ble Arran £1.25. - Although have just discovered the lids on the Spa Crystals Tubes are not great - I now ave 4 empty tubes and a carrier bag of crystals..... The sa machine was not playing ball today - there was nothing on it. Looks like my friend has the Boots bug too now though.....
No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

Yes I agree with Palescene on that. I used a £5 gift voucher from Pigsback on part of my spend today as it was over £10 I got a skin care voucher.

As the vouchers/gift cards are treated like cash when you spend them.
