It's about time you received this then......., it's getting longer and longer isn't it, one of mine was about 14-15 months, and I thought that was bad enough.
Happy this is sorted for you know though, and hopefully you will receive your money very soon.;)

hi i have read your comments regarding welcome i have had exactly same as you , welcome will not back down you only option now is ombudsman i hope you are a patient person as i had my final settlement letter this week 2 years 9 months from when i complained to welcome ,it was good news it was in my favour i know the ombudsman is very busy now to when i put my complaint in 06 i know there were 23,000 cases in front of me i still have to wait another 2 months for offer to be paid i had 3 loans but the one from 01 its not protected by current regulations. and i still do not know how much i will get back either. so you are in for a long fight they also offered to pay me £200 for stressed caused it should me more like a million after wot i went threw soz can t be more postive but this is wot your up against.i wish you loads of luck and patients and i get that letter to the ombudsman done asap as you will be further behind in the queue.

I recieved my cheque tuesday 4th august 2 weeks after i heard from ombudsman . I am so relieved its over after 2 years 9 months. I would like to say a big thankyou to martin lewis as if it was n t for me seeing him on gmtv one morning 3 years ago i would never have known none of this and i would never have recieved all my money back that all these companys have taken off me all these years. Well done for sticking up for us consumers and we should have people like you in parliment at least you care good luck to all the people on this site who are fighting for what is rightfully theres keep going don t give up you will all get there in the end. mandie xxxx:beer: :T :money:

    Hey,

Just to say I also had my letter from FOS today confirming that Welcome were settling plus £200 for compensation and 8% interest etc. Have also waited a while although not as long as the last poster!!! Think mine was around 17 months.

I found out at the beginning of June that they were going to settle so has been a long month waiting for official confirmation but YIPEE!!! Finally.

Slightly concerned that when I spoke to FOS yesterday to see if there was any update they confirmed I would be receiving the letter as it was sent Wednesday but when I asked if it covered both accs that I had complained about she said they only had one agreement no!! Oh well, will just wait and see.

Well done everone who has had some long awaited good news!!

    Helen xx

Well done to all Welcome winners, I know from reading this and other forums they have been far from helpful and most of you have been waiting over a year so really pleased for you all.

I am today ringing the FOS to enquire that all 3 accounts are being settled as it did not state that on the letter and acceptance of settlement which has been signed and returned. Its lovely to think that Welcome are finally owning up to their shoddy and underhand tactics.

Im just happy that my holiday in Brazil next febuary will be even better knowing that my wallet will be a lot fatter thanks to Welcome Finance. And i beleive that the 8% interest is added yearly so the first loan taken out in 2004/5 will have 3 years interest at 8% making it a total of 24% Lovely way to make money out of these scumbags. What comes around goes around as the old saying goes.

Well done to you for being successful. I wish I knew your secret. I am still waiting to be assigned an adjudicator after sending all my paperwork to the FOS. I sent my letter on 1st May so early days yet.

I am hopeful after reading your postings that if you stick in so to speak you will be successful in the end.

Thanks for all your postings, advice and its great that someone can get one over on that shower of scumbags.....my experience with them so far has been a total nightmare and I posted some of my dealings on the is welcome finance going bust forum.

Well done once again and hope I can have some positive news soon x
