Morning!!
Welcome to OS Floridadreamin :hello:
Good luck at the hospital PP - we'll be thinking of you. Make sure you have a restful time when everything's finished for the day and hopefully manange some sleep tonight.
Well not done a right lot yet todayyou lot put me to shame
! Got turkey stew for tea so that'll be going in the SC cooker a bit later on this morning. Made a loaf of HM bread earlier in the week so dont need the BM on for a few days. DW is very awkward these days - washes the dishes but refuses to dry them!!
So have left door open to try and air dry them a bit cos dont have time to do it 'manually'. WM will be put on at lunchtime while my scrambled eggs cook. Trying very hard to get in to the routine of 'being at work' even though I'm sitting in our front bedroom. Must try not to get into the habit of popping downstairs to do a few jobs every half hour!! That said though - I'm not exactly working hard whilst surfing on here am I!!
Been trying to adopt Flylady's mantra of 'Do It Now' (or what can I do now that will save me time later) and it's working pretty well for housey stuff, but it's not going so good for the work stuff. Trouble is the end is in sight - I'm only doing this for DH until Fidget arrives and then I can be a SAHM :j :j not exactly motivational for getting work done though!!
Right - that's enough waffle from me. Have a good one.I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle0 -
Morning all :hello:
PP - hope your day isn't too bad. If the people say you can have a walk in shower just tell anyone who asks you've had a wetroom fitted instead - ultra trendy:rotfl:
Well today is a boring day of ebay stuff. I really need to get these things listed as they're taking up valuable wall/floor space where I could have our "toy box" (it's where I keep all the board games). I could bring DD's bookcase out of her room and her books out of our room and maybe I could juggle things enough to get rid of one of the chest of drawers in our room since one (the newest most annoyingly) is growing mold on the back of it due to the damp  Plus DD really needs a new bed and we haven't the money spare ATM while trying to pay off the £3 in credit card debt:mad: Which reminds me, after my next bill (due to be sent out tomorrow) I need to look at BT OH's card to mine and then the whole lot to a new 0% (currently looking at Virgin) if I do it this way then I will be charged the maximum £50 fee, if I do it as two seperate transactions we're looking at around £63+
It would also make paying the things alot easier!
Now housework today is ..... 97% doneone batch of dishes and our bed to make and I'm done for the day! WM is on and when its done underwear will go in the airing cupboard on hangers to dry (quicker and guarenteed to dry ) and the rest can go out on the washing line once the showers have cleared
I'm not sure about tea tonight yet, DD is complaining of earache and since she was awake in the night she's going to have an early night so she'll be having beans on toast or the end of the veg soup for her tea. OH and I might have a "make your own" which means I'll be able to cross another dish off my menu plan for the month
Yesterday I crossed "Penne with Peas, parma ham and cream" off which means I now don't have to buy parma ham or cream
I might cancel the chickpea patties I had planned for half-term and move tonight Bolognese with pasta to that night instead - would also make the lasagne dish I have planned for that week a little easier to prepare
Right, I'm off to try and find out where I am upto with ebay pics and listings. I think I might check out OH's listings while I'm at it. He's listing two mobile phones, a virgin sim unopened and our old freeview box so he's expecting some decent amounts of money :jCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning
I'm not going to do much OS at all today. My plan is to go to my mums later and help her list some more bits on ebay. I've just got to wait in for a parcel today which whould be coming with the postman - knowing the service we get, that could be any time between now and 1:30, and that is if it gets delivered to my house and not one of the neighbours.
I've finished moving the bookcase now, so i need to look around the living room and see what else we can pack up for now as the decorating might be a slow process. It's going to be tough,as i've got a combined living/dining room, so most of downstairs is going to have to move upstairs. It will be quite cramped so i'm trying to declutter as i go along. :T
breakfast/lunch as i had it so late, porridge with honey and dried fruit
tea - chicken stir fry with noodles.
snacks - can't have any flapjacks as i made DH take the whole box with him so i wouldn't eat them and then i might lose a bit of weight.
hope today is alright for you all. PennyPincher - i will be thinking of you and trying to send some good vibes. Hospitals are the worst places. I'm glad your DH is with you as it helps. My DH has booked the afternoon off to go with me to my next hospital appointment, and it makes it less stressful for me because he will drive, deal with parking, and stop me getting lost.
Enjoy your day -

I don't know why but I thought I would have a look at our BT package (must have been at the back of my mind since I saw Martin on the 5 o'clock show last week) and I've just noticed that we are paying £42.12 in package fees/line rental AND £4.46 for caller display. Am investigating the BT website further...
Washing is out and I've got as far as taking the blanket off the top of the ebay pileI'll get there eventually

Well, I'm feeling accomplished .... haven't actually got up the road yet to the shops ... but I have sat down and filed all the receipts, gone through DH's invoices / balanced the bank statements ... I have a clear desk :j
I am now going to go make my sandwich, watch some trash on tv and then take a meander up the road

Caller display is now free with BT.
As my parents got it recently. But would have not paid the extra to get it.
