    Morning all

Sore throat and ear ache making themselves very known this morning, but hey ho. Sunny and bright here this morning, might even try and get in the garden for a bit, just to start tidying round.

Little one that normally comes today isn't well, so an unexpected day off...great timing!

Brekkie - Don't fancy any today
    Lunch - Errmmmmm - pass
Dinner - It's chicken and cheese lasagne on the meal planner but I might swap it for something simpler.

PP - best of luck at the hospital.

    Morning all :hello:

Got a great night's sleep last night :j :j Neither of the boys came in and after the alarm went off at 7, had to kcik Mr TM out of bed. He's suffering - poor lamb. He has "man-flu with a side order of salmonella" :D:D Bless him - oops, beeter stop that. I give him no sympathy cos it's payback for those times when I've been really ill and still been expected to run house and family (he he)

DS2 has pre-school this afternoon, when I shall rush into town and do a quick mystery shopping job. May have a scout around the market just in case there are any wally-trolleys lurking (for sale that is, not going to deprive granny of her bag while her back's turned ;) ):D

Must do some major cleaning and clearing this morning - WM needs to go on and DW needs un/repacking. Windows also need cleaning but probably won't have time to do them all. I have the plastic tablecloth inthe bath - been soaking in bio o/n so needs rinsing and hanging up. Also, soaked my first lot of seeds last night so need to drain them soon.

B: Porridge with sultanans and prunes
L: trout fillets and salad (freezer clear out time)
    D: Beef stew

Ok - must get beef on the go soon, then shower and hair wash and make a date with the vac :) Have a great day everyone and hope all goes well at the hospital PP.

  • Hello everyone,

DH is away this week with work which makes thrifty catering much easier. So it's jacket spuds tonight with beans and some cheese left over from the weekend. And I have to do my least favourite job of all - putting the clean washing away. I'll iron all day quite happily - but put it away - yuk!!

Can also feel a batch bake coming on - but that means I have to go to Tesco and be tempted as I have no plain flour in!

    Morning all,

DD and I had a good shopping expedition yesterday. She is now the proud owner of a pair of pink wellies (with dogs on them no less), Bob-the-Builder umbrella and a Minnie Mouse hairbrush.... doesn't every 2yr old have such accessories?!?

She decided 05:00 was a good time to be awake, personally I wasn't quite so inclined  Eventually, she, the cat and I went back to sleep, phew!

Loaf of oat and raisin bread in the BM.
    DD at nursery.
I have coffee and contemplating my next manouevre! I have the day off .... and I am not going to do any housework, so there!

I am however, going to tackle this humungous pile of finances then take a wander up the market / Lidl / Homebase and Morrisons and get some seeds, potting compost and a few bits 'n' pieces, then come home and banish myself to my sewing room and get the hang of the overlocker if it kills me .... if I don't return by the end of the day ... send a search party! LOL.

PP - Good luck with the hospital. I do hope you have a good book and plenty of grub, I know how dull hospital waiting around can be.

    B - Special K
L - HM Bread and leftover chicken with mayo
D - Can't remember what I've put on the meal planner, but it may be HM lasagne with garlic bread I think.

Why is it so much easier when DH is away? That is such a true sentiment, my DH is away this week, and you're right, tis a breeze .. oops.

Mind you he does have his uses ... he puts away the washing ..... sigh, I've got that task to do later as well, LOL.

    morning...

Aint been os last couple of days really..as been so busy/tired/ill but thought id post today. Have had about 1/2 hours sleep last night!! Ok so didnt get up till mid-afternoon yesterday but didnt go to bed till early hours on monday thanks to a late late night scouts meeting!! Only good part was i come away from the meeting with a brand new zip up fleece FREE as OHs parent (who run a scout group too) had loads going spare that didnt fit their leaders so gave me one "for camp"! :j

Spent yesterday afternoon/evening infront of the tv to be honest as just was feeling so poop! Plus OH had to leave about 6pm... about 10 minutes after over the road had their 3 front bay windows smashed with housebricks!!! So felt a bit weary being in alone... so cuddled up with everywhere locked up seemed the best option.

Then, just dozing off about 3am.. and the house phone goes!!! Rings off before i can get to it and when i 1471ed it was some computer thingy that keeps ringing!!!! Then i couldnt get back to sleep :(:(

Have got to go the fruit shop today as im almost run out.. and want to look in woolworths next door for something small for valentines for OH as got £25 worth of vouchers from ipoints yesterday morning!!! :j And they will be the only way can afford to get him something :o

Breakfast - a big cup of coffee
Lunch - a sandwich possibly coselaw and cheese
Tea - god knows as its "use up/store cupboard" eating at the moment!

    Have a good day everyone

  • Morning all, I'm dipping my feet into the thread for the first time today. You all inspire me so much that I had to let you know that you have all changed my home routine for the better. PP - you certainly know how to motivate me, after reading your posts I stop feeling overwhelmed by the chores that need doing and just get on with them.

So this morning WM emptied, TD emptied and loaded ready for tonight (economy7). Clothes folded, HM lunches made and recipe book open and ready for tea tonight. At work now so OS finished until I get home tonight.

    Have a good day everyone.
    :j
  • Morning all,

Am off work at the mo as I have put my back out. Managed to load the WM. DD went off to school after making her own packed lunch, bless her.

I think the day will be either on here or magazine flicking.

Have a good day all and get well soon to those not well.
