Hello everyone, good morning to you all.
Woke up to a nice tidy kitchen today. Only because vanity made me get on with it yesterday - I had an appointment with a painter and decorator for a quote. The git didn't show up! Grrr! Waited for 40 minutes for him then decided to rush off to Sainsbury's to raid their "reduced" shelf. Unfortunately they were in the process of emptying the reduced shelf...got a packet of thick sliced proper ham for 49p reduced from £2.99 - eat before date yesterday, but the kitties won't know that.
Today, alas, work is my only option. The place really got to me yesterday. Still too soon to move on though, as I've been there less than a year. Am hoping to move back to England over the next 18 months or so, so guess I should just grit my teeth.
OS today - empty the DW, empty the WM. Will try a bit harder to eat properly today. Made some apple & bran muffins from the GI diet book last night - gosh they are healthy (if you ignore the artificial sweetner) and don't taste too bad. Am v.tempted to put butter on them, but I think that perhaps that is a tad too naughty.
B:porridge/oatbran/raisins/pumpkin seeds + skimmed milk, cup of coffee
Mid-morn tea:apple & bran muffin, a yoghurt, cup of green tea
L:hmm, probably a sandwich of some variety. Will call home today.
D:pasta with tinned toms & tinned lentils chucked in with it. It's a college night so no time to cook properly, just grab.
Snacks: fruit & yoghurt, water.
Hope you all have a lovely day. JackieO and Scotisherrr soz, can't remember your proper name...belated birthday greetings for yesterday. JackieO I really, really wanted to be you yesterday as you got so spoilt!
Bye bye everyone

Morning everyone!
PP: hope it's not too bad today
Its recycling day here, so I am shredding a whole load of paper ready to go out. Then I need to do my exercises for the morning. Then housework can begin! I still didn't get round to doing the vacuuming yesterday as I felt rough, so just did absolute essentials (washing, washing up & feeding people & the cat!!!!)
I know it's not particularly money-saving, but we just started getting some milk from the milkman. Someone from the dairy knocked about 3 weeks ago now & asked if we would like milk delivered. They had put notes round the doors with all the details a couple of days earlier. I know it's a bit dearer, but we only want 3 pints a week of full fat milk, (for DHs breakfast cereal!) as otherwise I buy UHT skimmed (DS & I don't like the taste of fatty milk, we only like skinny milk) and that's really cheap. Also it means that if more people have milk delivered, the service can continue for those who really need it, like elderly folk who can't get out. Anyway, for the 1st 10 weeks we get a free gift each week! One week we got eggs, then cream, this morning we got a pint of fresh orange juice. I have ordered 6 free range eggs every week, too. Amazingly they are cheaper than Tesco - and they are from a local farm ... and delivered to my doorstep, what more could I ask?!
Anyway, have a good day everyone!0 -
'Morning everyone
Up bright and early today. Made the Coucous for our lunch time pack-ups, perused OS threads and then did my exercises ... I will get a flat tum, I will get a flat tum, I will get a flat tum.
Then it was a bath, breakfast, dressed and now I have 15 minutes to spare to peruse OS again
Breakfast: Porridge with sultanas, orange juice
Lunch: Couscous, salad and turkey
Dinner: Salmon, leeks and whatever I decide to put with it .. probably bulgar wheat
Have a lovely OS day everyoneEnjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Good morning,
Last night started well, DD was asleep in her own bed, but ended up waking me up at 3.30 when she woke up and came in with me, and i didnt get to sleep until about 30 mins before the alarm went off!!! Typical!!!!
Anyway, feel ok at the moment which is the main thing. Once DS and DD at school, going to go to Tesco for my weekly shop, ive written a list and i will stick to it!!!
WM on, DW almost full, so will put it on after breakfast has finished and will just need to do some dusting and hoovering later. Also have some beef left over from mondays roast, so im going to mince it up, and use in a spag bol for dinner tonight (keep DD happy, its her favourite). Decided to try Poshpaws mummy bread today as well, it sounds delicious!!!!
PP - good luck at the hospital later, hope all the needle sticks etc will be worth it!!!
Take care and have a good day everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning One and All
I feel so tired this morning. Did a 12 hour day yesterday, which is shorter than initally expected, as my evening appointment was cancelled
I seem to be completely snowed under with stuff today, so I probably won't be around much.

Thats it! Not going to post much else as its all depressing today! (Stupid people and all that!!!)
Except my Ebay stuff went really well! Very pleased - made almost £200 last night by selling a few of my collectables! So thats going to be used to re-decorate the hallway! Once I have wrapped this lot up and posted tonight I will transfer the funds and wait to spend!
Have a nice day!
