Also, you say you want to sell it in 6 months, I personally wouldn't touch a property with this dross all over it without knocking the price of a re roof off the asking price of the property. So that means you would have wasted your £1,000.00.

Seeing this muck on any roof would raise my suspicions and I would ask the surveyor to pay special attention to it and check the loft space.

IF your tiles are GENUINELY in such good nick, ask the roofer to find out where the water is getting in. Either needs re pointing, which he said he would do anyway, or a few broken tiles.
Never any real need to put a 'waterproof, breathable, thermal barrier type' wonder goo on any roof.

Firstly Aquashield went bust again in November. Its a regular thing they do most winters so that they can cancel all warranty claims and get rid of staff without winter pay etc: New name will be Aquatherm or something like that.
The sealant will not SEAL the roof, only the tiles, so holes in the felt remain an issue.
As for £1000...... no way. They sell at a crazy £37-47 a square Mtr.
If you are selling anyway. why bother.

Well just had aquashield cold call round to price my walls getting cleaned and coated then coloured at 6.30 but after reading about the probs with the roofs and going bust and on rouge traders think I will just tell them ive changed mind and get one from a diff company.

Just an update lol he started at £8995 told him no thanks then got it down to 7 still no 6500 lol I eventully told him I had read about them online and that they are a bunch of cowboys.

Hit me with that they used to be a franchise but now an international comany and are signed up with the fair trade thing lol, just told him I hate the way these companys work start off with a high price then drop it when you say no, and then spend 10-20 mins just to get rid of them. even After I said all that he asked what kind of price was I looking for maybe we can get it down more lol said even if they offered it for 2000 he would not get job because of there tatics in winning people over.

Any way rant over maybe one day will get company that gives price and leaves only happened once for me so far got a guy out to do bathroom, guess what he got job and had him back to do kitchen shame he dosnt do walls lol.

Also said the company has been running for over 10 years if they were that bad shoudnt they be out of business

Might look good but ive had my roof done by aquashield in scotland and although i had no problems with my roof i thought it would be good to get it coated and protected with a 10year guarantee.

unfortunately i now have 2 leaks and aquashield dont return any calls the 10 year guarantee isnt worth a penny.

worst thing ive ever done.

Hi nizzy.
Sorry to hear you have been had by these parasites and now have leaks.
That will be because these morons would have walked all over your tiles/slates and bust a few.
You may now have trouble getting a genuine roofer to fix the leaks.
I for one would not like to mess about with a roof with one of these 'wonder' coatings on it.
If it 'aint broke, don't fix it. If it is, get the right people to fix it and stop listening to advocatees of this rip off product.
Keep chasing them and see if citizens advice can help.

Is "Rooftec UK" similar to aquashield? Been around for ages here (Epsom, surrey) always in the local paper.
