I'm going to keep mine regardless of other cards.
Reason being they gave me a chance, have been excellent with limit increases and generally offer a good service.
I just think of it as a chargecard as opposed to a credit card, spend and pay off but always the little 'buffer zone' that if for any reason I cannot pay in full I can leave a balance.
May have a 10k limit gold or platinum card in a few years but will always keep my little Vanquis buddy :T

I will keep my Cap One a bit longer as I have been more impressed with them. Prefer online banking and they gave me a much larger limit.

You got a £1000 limit with Cap one didn't you?
Plus the possibility of increase on 4th statement, assuming they still do that?
I'm still waiting for my Natwest card to arrive, too scared to ring just in case they tell me it's all a big mistake and to sod off

Yeah got the £1000 limit. Nowhere near the limits I had originally but having not had a credit card for years its still very nice I was told that they would increase the limit on the 3rd or 4th statement so will have to see if it is significant or not.

When are you expecting to hear from natwest? Is it a credit card?

It's the Ad Gold credit card which pays cashback against the ad gold current account fees.
Applied in branch, got a SHOCK when told computer says yes so just playing a waiting game now.
N i d has been accepted so many times by RBS group then declined so not building my hopes up completely.
If however it does land on my mat...I will run around the block naked after first kissing the postman :rotfl::rotfl:

Well fingers crossed for you. What is your credit report like btw I cant remember ;p

I wouldnt mind an RBS credit card so I might give it some time and see if my internal score will be enough to swing it as I have ran my current account well for the last few years.

LOL - I hope you get it matey - i'm dealing with head of fraud haha - its funny cos i've sent him a letter I got someone to do for me from CRA and this contradicts what Natwest say they are saying about me - as a result i've said with the £5k compo they will be paying me, i'll be happy with a gold card with a £5k limit :rotfl:

You gotta ask - you never know, he may actually swear at me in his reply - or ignore me! hehe

I like your style..sounds like a fair exchange to me...I may go into my branch tomorrow, ask to sleep with the cashier. Wonder if that will get me a bigger limit
