I have just been excepted for a vanquis credit card and im really chuffed that I have been giving a second chance to rebuild my credit score because in the past I have had a many CCJ,S and a house repossession against me.
So don't be afraid to apply0 -

I have a Vanquis card. I wanted to rebuild my credit score after my IVA. I had a £500 limit to begin with which they have just raised to £1500! I have only had it since January! I have also just had a text to say they are sending me a Gold Card.
I pay it back in full each month so I'm not worried but it seems to me that they should not be increasing the limits so quickly - or by so much!ENFP - AssertiveOfficially in a clique of idiotsSmoke me a kipper; I'll be back for breakfast0 -

9 months to increase a credit limit is actually quite slow in the credit card world.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
The Gold card is I am afraid to say, the same as a non-Gold card but.. a different colour. I believe it has a fast track customer service line too.
people knock Vanquis but it is a great way to get back on track with a manageable credit limit. The APR is high but the ending is riskier so..0 -
Apologies if this has already been previously discussed!
I'm slightly confused about the Vanquis application process.
I completed my application online and was informed that somebody would be in touch. The next day I received a call from them and I went over the details which I had submitted with my online application (salary, addresses etc...). Then they asked for my debit card information and asked if I intended on paying the balance off in full or part each month.
I didn't have my debit card to hand, so I was told to call back. Just as I was about to call (the next day), I received a text message from them which stated 'congratulations, you have passed the initial check' or words to that effect.
Anyway, I called them back and gave them my bank details and was then informed that they would contact me in 5-10 working days.
Is this standard procedure? I am a little confused as I have read that many people are accepted after giving their card details over?0 -
I've just received a call to go over my details and have been accepted.
They said 10 working days to receive the card.
Has anyone received theirs earlier than this?
Thanks0 -
