They do that with a lot of people to be honest.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
I got accepted today. I was surprised. They said they would ring me and fair dos they did. (I want it to build up my credit)

Received my invitation today to increase my credit limit from £1000 to £1750 without asking.
Taken about 2 years I reckon but I have always paid the card off in full every month and never paid any interest.
In June I overpaid my card by £900, as I had about £1800 worth of purchases on my card in July (holiday etc).
Whether my heavy spending in July prompted the invitation, who can tell, but I will only ever use this card if I can pay it off in full every month.
Not the ideal card for everyone but it suits me. Thank you Vanquis.0 -
Just got an application form for a Vanquis Bank VISA.
I don't think this has ever happened before.
Do I look financially distressed on a credit report?
Is there a CCJ against me I don't know about?
Surely having a Vanquis card showing on my credit report is like dating someone breaking out with the Ebola virus? I'm not even going to throw the application form in the bin, in case "they" are building a profile on me. Burn it, I think.0 -
I've just been accepted for a Debenhams Mastercard after being with Vanquis for two years, and keeping my account in good order- paid in full every month.
I'm far from the only person on this forum to be with Vanquis for a few years and then get something better.0 -

I just checked my Noddle Credit Report. It lists the credit card providers by name, along with payment history for each, as well my mortgage lender and current account banks.
Are you saying the version the lenders get have the names redacted?0 -
Yes all they see is type of credit, loan or credit card etc. not who provides it0
