May i ask some questions regarding limit increases.

For the guys who started at £250 what did your new limit increase to?

Was it 6th month or 4th?

I actually ended up with a £3000 credit limit! I seemed to get regular increases every 4th statement. I must just add I never used it anywhere near that limit though.
I asked them to reduce it to £1000 afterwards, had the card about 3 years in July.
I did get a good card with Halifax the Clarity card, so don't use the Vanquis card, but have been advised it's still can be good for your credit file? To keep the green ticks going on every month.
  • My limit started at 250. Then up to 500 and then 1750 and at the moment it is at 2250

Total interest paid over last 2 years is 12.23 , tend to put day to day shopping on it and clear it at end of month

Thanks guys... I stumbled across this thread yesterday whilst bored and my eyes fell on the £25.00 cashback via Quidco - applied online there and then and have just had my call confirming that i've been approved (i'm so proud *sniff*) so that's £25.00 cash money for doing nothing more than filling in a form, i wish everything was so easy!
  • Hi, can anyone help with this question please?

If I've set up to pay the balance in full each month by direct debit, will Vanquis take the statement balance on the chosen day, or the current balance?

    Thanks
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

The balance on your previous statement.

well it's all resolved. they confirmed that i would need to pay £52 quid to fully bring the account back up to date. explained my situation to the overly aggressive person from collections and to cut a long story short, they agreed to refund the two £12 charges if i could find the £28 quid for the rest.

He tried to force me in to making a decision there and then but I insisted on asking for time to work it out, which I did, and after plenty of juggling, i can do it so fingers crossed that's the last of it.

Hi fellow Vanquis card holders, I wonder if any of you can shed some light for me. I currently hold a granite card and have received the first credit limit increase to £1,000. I do believe that once you reach £1,500 you have an opportunity to have a "gold" card with allegedly less APR, 24% springs to mind.

I'm wondering does anyone know if a vanquis granite customer would be elligible for this upgrade? I always pay in full but it would be good to know the APR was more manageable if I had an emergency that my savings couldn't cover.
    Oh, you wee bazza!

Good question Maestro, I wish I knew the answer to it, as it might help answer a lot of peoples questions. The closest I can go, is I know 1 person on these forums who said their OH was upgraded to a gold card but the APR also went up to 69.9%.
Sorry I can't be of anymore help.
