Jammy Buggar:p
I think you should write to them and say you don't want it until they send me one as well;):D
How long have you been with them and what APR were you paying?
I have only been with them for 7 months to be fair, just got 1st increase from £250 to £1000 but still got APR of 59.9% so won't be carrying any balances over at that rate......0 -
Here's what may seem a silly question,
I would like to know how to pay off my balance in full every month, when my direct debit is set to only take the minimum payment?
Now i know i can make an online payment for the difference, but do i make the card payment before or after the direct debit payment?
Also is there a negative for me doing it this way instead of letting the direct debit take the whole balance i.e would it impact any potential credit increases?
The reason i have only set the direct debit for the minimum amount is that i don't want to ruin the history i have with my bank, should i have a moment of stupidity and use the credit card for something that i can't afford to repay in one go.
Thanks in advance0 -
My online account is blocked. Apparently, they think my credit card number has made its way in to the wrong hands and they're sending me another card, but they're being a bit slow about it.
Hmmm... New card arrived yesterday and new PIN arrived today. The card wouldn't work until I activated it.
I've just called their activation number expecting another hard sell for their Repayment Option Plan, but activation was a completely automated service and I didn't have to speak to anyone. :T0 -

If you just pay the full amount, they don't take a DD. I have a DD set up for minimum payment just in case and I have paid the full amount every month and the DD has never been taken.

although i still await its receipt -it appears that as a discharged BR ,Vanquis have granted me a card and its on its way-good.
To obtain it-i applied on line-it seems via a 'broker' and of course i get inundated with loan/payday offers etc etc-non of which i want.
Plus i was sent through a number of 0906 numbers to get the card-obviously incurring costs.
I'm not naive-and appreciated i would incur charges for these 0906 numbers and took the view that to get the card it was worthwhile.
That given-supposedly my call costs will be reimbursed (yeah right!!)by sending my phone bill to Freepost CFD (i said that is a short /odd freepost address but was told it is correct ) and was given what is probably a completely meaningless ref number.
I am expecting the freepost reply to come back to me as undeliverable.
Am i just too sceptical ?
i remain sceptical that i will get my call costs will be reimbursed- but you never know.
Has anyone had similar experience -and either found that they are definately not reimbursed-or actually they are .?
(apologies if this subject has been well covered elsewhere )
many trhanks-look forward to interesting replies and experiences0 -
did you not consider/try applying directly?0
