  • Hiya,

I was just wondering if a couple of people could let me know how long it took for them to receive their card? I applied a couple of weeks ago and got the call last Monday. I was offered PPI and after confirming my details etc put through to an automated message telling me about when my card and pin would be sent (so I'm assuming I've been accepted - I've not heard anything since). I think they said around 10-14 days - is that working days and has anybody ever recieved it any quicker than that?! Seems like a long time!

Thanks for any experiences anybody can pass on :)

    Rach

So, rejected by Vanquis but got accepted by Capital One at 34.9% APR without even them calling back.. They say limit will be sent along with the card, so don't know that one yet.

I just spotted this today, hadn't noticed before..........

I paid my card this morning in full as usual but couldn't remember the exact amount so went online to check so I could make the payment.

My statement was £176.85 and I noted it said estimated interest assuming I made the minimum payment was £12.15:eek: Then I noticed the minimum payment was only £7.94. Now excuse my ignorance in this and I know lenders want to make as much as possible out of you but if I paid the minimum it would not cover the interest for the month. So how would you ever be able to repay the debt???

I always thought a minimum payment was supposed to cover at least the interest + any charges + a percentage of the debt?

According to this if I only ever paid the minimum each month, without any additional spending I would eventualy go over the cards limit, or am I missing something??

Vanquis must accept people who aren't on the electoral register as I got my card about a month ago, yet according to a letter I got through the door a few days ago, I was only just added to the register. That would explain why I got an instant fail from aqua and a letter from capital one saying the CRAs couldn't verify my address! Time to wait another 6 months for applying again, maybe for more mainstream cards :P
    Oh, you wee bazza!

The minimum payment is around 4.5% of the outstanding balance. If your balance was higher the minimum payment would be higher....but then again so would the interest. There out to make money, it pays them for you to stay in debt.

Wow! What rate are you on for them to be charging £12 on £176!

i think that's 56days not the 1 month. as about 56 days from card until money is needed to be paid.

    A very unhealthy 59.9%........
Although having said that, as I always pay in full it's actually 0%...........

Got a nice text from Vanquis saying my initial credit limit of £500 is being increased to £1000 :-) After 4 months of use.

Anybody else having a problem with the Granite website? I did an application and it just keeps spinning saying 'we are processing your application' and a little grey 'error' box came up that I had to click 'ok' on. So now I don't know if the application went through, and if so what the answer was?
