Afternoon guys,

I applied yesterday and got the "we will let you know in 10-14 working days" answer, but I called today to check if anything had been decided as there was a credit check on my experian file yesterday.

The guy on the phone told me there was a note on my application saying they need proof of address to continue the application, and I need to send a bank statement and passport or driving license to the address on the website with my application number which he kindly gave me.

Is this good news or no news?

Its good news so far as they are verifying your identity - if it was a no they'd have told you already so at moment is is a we'll see....

If anyone misses the call from vanquis just ring it back - I done this and said I have a few missed calls from you, please can you tell me what is wrong.

all they said to me is they will get back to me ont he tel convo, she kept saying they recomend direct debit as payment but i said id rather do it like my other bills and pay online or at post office with slip etc.

Do they phone you with their number or is it witheld? I have had a couple of missed calls this week but the number was witheld and I still havent heard from Vanquis in 7 days. They credit checked me on monday.

Its been a week since I applied for Vanquis. I phoned up and they said I havent been approved or declined yet im still in the que. Seems that some people wait longer and
other people have been contacted after 2 days? Seems strange.

That means you are approved mate
