does this mean my credit rating is improving x
Only you know if its improving by looking at your credit report.
Remember this is a Vanquis card so in their eyes 99% of their customers have bad credit but it don't stop them giving customers credit limit increases every month.0 -
i also just received a letter stating my limit will be increase
from £250 to £1000
Bit of a jump but im not complaining....Not that i have any intention of going anywhere near that limit...
Just like to think im getting back on track and they trust me.
No mention of a change in my interest rate though !!!

wonder why vanquis don't offer a competitive APR to its loyal customers. Im about to cancel mine now I have a main stream card, but if they gave me a rate that was reasonable i would stay with them.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I agree with you but you have probably managed your account well and they don't make any money of you.
I know the advice on here with regards to Vanquis to pay off your balance in full every month and the sensible people do just that, and eventually get a mainstream card because with Vanquis's help there Credit Report is much better.
BUT I bet they have thousands of customers that are up to their credit limit and only paying minimum payments, and are no doubt raking in the money, CYNICAL, ME, DAMN RIGHT lolOpinions are like bottoms - We all have one, just some stink more than others

No debt - 1 mainstream card

I'm the same as you, I would happily use their product in place of my tesco card if they would allocate a reasonable apr.
I suppose all they have made from me is around 50 pounds in 3 years usage but like others have said it's a very horrible thought to have a maxed vanquis card,
I was at 39.9 apr when I started but I'm now down at 29.08 simple, is that about 34apr? Its hardly competitive for 3 years flawless running and lyalty. What's the highest apr recorded for Vanquis. 50%??0 -

Nearly 2 years with them, never late, never over limit, increase's in credit limit..... This month my APR went from 34% to 59%..... NOT AMUSED and needless to say, closing the accountOpinions are like bottoms - We all have one, just some stink more than others

I'd be doing the exact same if that happened. Did they offer any reason?0 -

I've seen a few people say similar on this thread -tbh I don't quite understand the reasoning. Assuming you never leave a balance on the card then surely the APR, whatever it is, doesn't really matter?BCSC Member 70:j
