    Hello

I have had the Granite Card now for 7 months, started with a £250 credit limit every month paid on time via DD left a little balance on the card as well every month. I have been patiently waiting a credit limit increase now since month 3, then month 4 then I though oh OK maybe month 7, just paid my 7th statement last week no increase!
I was a bit miffed to say the least not because I want to go and buy something far from it TBH I just wanted the increase as a kind of acknowledgement I was being a good boy and they were happy with me, a feeling of things going in the right direction for a change so I was miffed!
I came home this morning to a letter from them telling me my limit will increase after my April (8th) statement to £1000 so now I am very pleased not only for the fact that it is finally increasing but also because this seems a "new" increase option, all I have read on here is that usually if you start on 250 in month 4 they increase to 500 or if not month 7 to 500 or 750 so for it to go to £1000 from £250 I definatley feel as though I am doing something right for a change :)
As already said before I get the lectures about APR I have NO intentions of using this limit in any way shape or form it is just the feeling of "trust" it has been so long believe me :)
Hope you are all well and keeping the huff puffing wolf away from the door
    Best wishes

its alway nice to get soem recognition, i was lucky enough to be able to get a tesco card about 6 or 7 months ago but as in a previous post of mine, i still cant let go of my vanquis.

i dont know why but i just cant close it, maybe its a reminder as to what will happen if i screw up again like i did 9 years ago.

its now reached a limit of 3000 and they even sent me a letter dropping my interest by 5 % , i think im on 29.08 simple interest now or summat.

i always spend 10 quid a month roughly on it and pay back 9 by standing order this leaves me a balance of around 50 quid each month, keeps the green 0's coming

vanquis cards can be very, very dangerous but from a personal point of view i have nothing but praise for my dealings with the company. They gave me a chance and i certainly took it.

    someone please help me!

i received the acceptance and verification call on the 10th of March and received a direct debit mandate in the post telling me that they have successfully created the direct debit with my bank and the reference number was a card number (i guess do have an account with them :) )

But i still haven't received the card or the pin number??? I called them up they said they sent the card on the 11th of March and the Pin was sent on the 17th of March nothing received yet....

I just wanted to ask how long did it take to receive your card and pin ???

yeah that gold card is tacky as hell... I'm assuming there's no issue cutting it up and still using the blue one?

Shouldn't have any problems carrying on using the blue one seeing as all the numbers are the same. For online purchases at least.
  • How do you get an increase from Vanquis please?

    Thanks :)

Their online statements seems very vague! It says minimum payment and the due date, however says nothing about when the DD will be taken!

I must admit this caused me some concern and confusion on my first statement, in the end I rang them, the direct debit is always collected from your account ON the day the payment is due, so if your min payment is due say 15th April then the direct debit will leave your account on the 15th. The payment generally shows up in your online Vanquis the next day so all is good :)

    Hope that helps
