Anyone been "upgraded" to a gold card?

They have sent me one. All the numbers and dates on the card are exactly the same as the standard card apart from the start date.

Yep - they gave me that before the last increase - it's also pretty horrid looking.

im on my 9th statement so far and not had a credit limit increase at all.

Stuck on the initial £250 limit...I use it all the time for petrol and internet shopping, have a DD in place for the min amount but i always pay extra onto it..

Normally have a outstanding balance of about £50 which therefore i am charged interest on. Couple of pounds per month.

I phoned them up and asked for a increase and they said the computer decides if / when i get a limit increase, they dont do it manually on request.

I still laugh to this day that the likes of Vanquis are trying to build morale to their customers by sending out an outrageous high interest gold cards.

Just had an increase from 1250 to 2500. Also had a letter from them saying they were LOWERING my APR. Wonders never cease....

yeah that gold card is tacky as hell... I'm assuming there's no issue cutting it up and still using the blue one?
