I thought the natwest cards looked pretty naff, but the vanquis cards are even more drab.

Plus the fact they are issued by the gypsies of the CC world :p

I remember someone on here had a hideous Union Jack one....shudder

They maybe gypsies but they are helping me rebuild my credit profile. And for that, I am grateful.

Oh well mate, as long as you don't run a balance, it works the same as any other card I guess :)

Any idea when you get rises with Vanquis? I've got a granite card which I don't really want, but given the fact that I can't get anything else at the moment it will have to do. I got mine in early January with a £500 limit, didn't use it until February but have paid off the full balance so far

    thanks

I can't quite remember when I got the first increase... after 4 or 6 months I think.

How soon is my new Vanquis credit card contract supposed to turn up in my Experian credit report? I have had it for more than a month (already had my first statement), but it is still not visible there...

If I was you keep your £500 credit limit reject all increases, you don't need a big limit to improve your credit score.

Plus watch out for other rises, not just your credit limit that can go up....

I've never missed a payment, gone over my limit or anything, infact I recently got a 'normal' credit card, last month they increased my interest rate from the already high 39% to 59%:mad::mad:

luckily I didn't have a big balance and have the funds to clear it...... Good for rebuilding your credit, BUT BEWARE, you could get stung too.....
