That is crazy. How did they manage to link this to you? It's mad because Equifax caused me no greif at all they completed a disassosiation over the phone and then that was that.
Experian - although have been good still keep having data showing.....
I am pretty certian that Equifaxhave sorted it as I managed to accepted for an o2 mobile who search EQBank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

because someone basically stole my identity - they lived at different address but they have had my ID since late 90's and sat with it, dormant. therefore they wait a few years and suddenly register on electoral roll somewhere using my details and then start to build up a credit rapport - obviously with me running my own parrallell elsewhere in the country.
what makes this case unique is the fact the other person lives in a postcode near me (I live in XX25 he lives in XX15) wel he doesn't live there and the owners dont know him but suffice to say its a scruffy council estate and i don't believe em.
I told the bloke at the door if I find out someone there is using my details i'd burn their house down and throw their mum in for good luck. he got funny and shut the door on me. Think he knew I was serious and angry!
So there you go, i'm lost as well. God knows mate. wish it was me though, 120k would be great right now for free! which is ultimately what this guy has done - obviously using my details! My passpost and wallet was stolen in the 90's so that's how it's happened I think.
By the way - get a thanks on this post you tite sod! #181 LOL.2010 - year of the troll

It takes the pi5$ that people can get away with it. Equifax just need to do a dissassosiation from that address.
I think it would have linked you when the fraudster give your current address and used it as a previous address!
I would love to go to the linked addresses on my file and may do so.
Have you managed to get any credit in your name tho? Vanquis? Cap 1??

Hello, quick question. I applied through quidco to get my 25 quid cashback, got accepted, received card with 250 limit.
Spent 227 on it 3 days ago, rang next day to pay in full, they didnt have a figure on their screen so i told them to take 228 from my bank account.
I then got a phonecall from my bank saying vanquis were asking for permission to tak an un specified amount and that they were refusing it.
the interest rate on my vanquis is something like 43% apr.
If i cant get this fiasco sorted and the total paid with a specified amount over the phone, i will have to wait for my 1st bill with a giro slip on to come through in a month.
How much interest will be charged by then??is officially a GLEEK0 -
If you pay the whole bill off by the due date, then you won't have to pay any interest. HTH0

Hi Bh after reading this post and others on this thread.0

I knew the lack of online access would be hassle. Just had to stop using my Vanquis for all eBay and other online use as I'm having to keep notes of stuff and eBay has just asked too that I validate the card with a PIN printed on my statement. Another bit of paper. That's a lot of note keeping and I will hve to emply someone to do all the checking
Shame really, as it limits me using the Vanquis and I quite like their service so far.
Will just have to stick with my other card for now and leave the Vanquis for larger less frequent purchases.0
