I've just got rid of my Vanquis card, and am about to be given a Lloyds Airmiles Duo card with a £1k limit, 23.3% APR, which I'm very happy with.

    How long did that take?
as in, how long did you have to stick with the Vanquis?
Well I got the Vanquis in about December last year. I've also got a voda sim only contract in my name which I took out in June. For me its not been a case of bad credit history so much as no credit history, I'm 18.

Wasn't actually intending to get another card really, I cancelled the Vanquis as I didn't really need it and it was more trouble than it was worth (see my previous posts). But I thought I may as well seeing as how Lloyds were offering me a normal persons credit card. :p
  • How long from when you had the phone call to say you had been accepted did it take to get the card. I had my phone call on the 3/11

Indeed - but as a credit rating, rebuilding tool, I'm happy with it. Fingers crossed not too long before I'll be mainstream again.

    Gold card territory...well done

Only just been upped to £500 - took 7 months for that as I went 12p over-limit on month 2 (I think)!

Hope to be upped again after Christmas helping to build a good history.
