Might be worth getting your £2 statutory credit report just so you can see what is actually going on and what needs attention as you might have something lurking that could continue to hinder you even though you're building repayment history with a Vanquis cardCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

thanks for all your help. ccan you tell me how exactly i go about this. i was a member of credit expert but it hardly gave me any info at all. even this ccj thing wasnt on it.
i didnt want to pay £7 a month for that. where do i get the full £2 report from?
sorry to be a pain, im clueless here0 -
You could go to Equifax they offer the £2 report online now but if you want to be sure to see everything you'll need to be accurate and thorough with your previous addresses.

I wouldn't bother with credit scores. They aren't accurate. It's the actual data in your report that matters.
If the CCJ was over six years old it won't be on your file or affect you any more.
How long have you had your LTSB account? Again, if it defaulted over six years ago it won't be on your report or affect you any more even if you still owe them money
From the sounds of things the adverse data is behind you if it's not appearing on Experian or Equifax - so the only way is up! Happy daysCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

thanks again. the ccj (im not sure if thats the right word for the scottish term) was only last may and im concerned thats not appearing so i dont think this is accurate,
lloyds was something that must have been about 6 or seven yrs ago but i still get debt letters today from DCAs asking for payment so im still confused
everything else is in green or settled. i have a 3 yr old t mobile account which has been paid every month and my halifax account is the same, no red on it anywhere.0 -

Good stuff!
RE: Lloyds TSB - if you've defaulted over six years ago but been making payments in the mean time the debt still stands, it just doesn't appear on your credit file. If you haven't made any payments for 6+ years then it is statute barred and legally unenforceable so if this is the case worth writing to them to say stop chasing me for a statute barred debt or I'll sue you for harrasment etc.
RE: The CCJ - I would contact Equifax if I were you explaining the situation and ensure they have that address listed on the report, and that it is formatted correctly - sometimes a subtle difference in the way you type the address can cause the data recorded against that address to not appear.

Hello everyone, Ive been reading all your posts on this forum for nearly a week now and thought Id join! Just wanted to ask a question really, I applied online for a Vanquis card last Saturday but put my wrong phone numbers as I didnt want to get sales calls, I later read they contact you by phone so I called them monday and made some story up and they logged my new details after telling me they had tried to call and someone would call me the next day, as yet Ive heard nothing! what does this mean, previous bad credit from 2005 but nearly paid off now, my creit score is at 573! No CCJs but also not on electrol register as only moved 2 months ago but was on previous address.
Hope to hear from someone soon!!0 -

If they previously tried to call you it was likely to tell you you're accepted and try to sell you insurance and / or a cash advance.
If they aren't able to contact you on the number provided on the application they won't give you the card.
You may need to wait six months and re-apply. It couldn't hurt to call, but I don't know if they approve applicants who change their number part way through the application process given they are very strict on only giving cards to those they can make telephone contact withCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
