I applied for my Vanquis card on Thursday and got the "we will contact 7-10 days" message on the screen.

...I have kept my fone with me for last 4 days and not received any call or text message.

Does anyone know how long ion average it takes for them to call/write to you?

I got a text the following day, they rang the day after although i missed 2 calls they still rang back.
Give them a call and see?

Thanks Devilswife but i'm not that great at speaking about these things over the phone and would die of shame _pale_ if I got turned down.

Think i might just have to wait and see?

Ok applied for a VANQUIS card and just had the call back...I've been accepted

So what can i expect as a credit limit ?

I have a GOLD card!!!! :j:T

My limit has been increased to £1750 and my new GOLD card will be with me in a few days.

A GOLD card. A GOLD one. For me!!


That's around 15 months after the initial £250 limit, increased to £500 then to £1250. I haven't paid interest yet (due to an unexpected event I will pay interest next month for the first time and I am REALLY miffed about the event that caused it).

But. A GOLD card. I hope it is a GOLD one when it gets here and not an off yellow colour...! :rotfl:

I applied for the card on he Sunday. Got the delay message really didnt think Id get it as have a default on my egg card which Im still paying off but 9 days later I had a phone call to say was accepted. Card arrived 2 weeks later and pin number 2 days after that. Got a £500 limit. Dont know whether to apply for an Aqua card now or if Im pushing my luck

I applied for vanquis a year ago and got turned down. I applied last week and got the 10-14 day message. They tried contacting me several times on both my landline and mobile, however i did not recognise the number so thought nothing of it. Today being sick of strange numbers calling, i called back and guess what, i was only blooming accepted!! Thrilled! This from a girl who last year couldn't even get a basic bank account!! So anyone feeling down in the dumps, just hang on, time will sort it, even if it feels like alot of time, it will be ok in the end.

The B*stards have declined me 3 times. Still no idea why lol...What really grinds my gears though is that they don't even send me a letter....I have to phone up to find out :mad:
