Good Morning, I started with Vanquis Last July 2009 and they gave me a £250 limit, almost a year on it's now £2250. Quite a jump, but it does my credit files a boost.0

Latest statement arrived, no limit increase yet again (month 15 now). Though they have issued me with my first set of cheques (binned). Anyone else get a limit increase after their first set of cheques?Remember this: nothing worth doing is easy.0

Have had Vanquis for 3 years or so. Started with £250 limit and stuck on that for nearly two years.
Limit is now £2000 although I never use that amount.
Six months ago, thought I'd have a go at the Sygma Silver Mastercard as many people were reporting success. Got a 'We'll let you know in 7-10 days' message. This turned into a letter saying 'Sorry' etc etc.
Here we are 6 months on with more green zeros on my Equifax, nothing owing on my Vanquis or Cap One and tried again for the Sygma Silver (this morning). This time I got an instant decline! Not even the 7-10 wait before being told to bog off. Oh well. Back to my Vanquis 59.9% and Cap One 34.9% again....0 -

I got accepted by Vanquis approx 3 years ago @ 20 yrs old. I had a terrible credit score (could never understand why) and couldn't get ANYthing on credit.
Used it quite liberally from day one at around 40% and I have paid them a pretty penny over the years. I found my limit increases quite regular, (started £250, now £3000 << last week) and I took this as a good sign for my rating.
Got accepted for Capital 1 basic card year later with 200 limit. This only just increased to 800 last month.
Then, a week ago I got a letter from Barclaycard inviting me to apply for their 16.6% Platinum card. I NEVER get these letters so took it as a good sign and applied online, gambling that my score was now healthy enough. Got accepted with a £5600 limit! 0% on purchases for 12 months.
Balanced transfers my balances from the Vanquis and Capital1 so happy days, thanks to Vanquis initially. Not sure what to do with the other cards though.0 -
