That's what they told me once but it still doesn't make sense. I looked at their T&Cs and the only explanation I could think of was this...with a Vanquis Card you get 56 days interest-free but If you use your card on the day a statement is issued and have a direct debit set up for the full amount the DD sometimes gets taken more than 56 days after the transaction (e.g. if there are 31 days in the month the DD could be 57 days after the transaction). So the system charges interest on that one transaction and rounds it up to the minimum finance charge. To avoid this you would need to pay in full within 56 days of all the transactions on the statement.0 -
I applied with them yesterday, got a message stating they'll be in touch within 10 days or something. Got a phone call from them this morning on my mobile, but missed it as I was upstairs, called straight back but it says "we'll call back soon"
Any idea what the call was for? This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0 -
Sounds like it was the call to go through a few details, and basically try and sell a few things like payment protection etc.
Sounds like you've been accepted :beer:Next : £615/£1500 // JD Williams : £23.40/£450 // Vanquis : £190/£250 // Cap1 ?
Jacamo : £0/£1500 -

They called me yesterday just as I was about to go to work and tried to sell me their insurance. The woman was talking really really fast so I couldn't interrupt to say I didn't want it, and I thought it was rude to put the phone down on her.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
