  • Just got my card, and read that you don't pay interest as long as you've paid off the last two statements in full. What happens with the first statement, will interest be charged if I pay it off in full?

No, you shouldn't be charged interest, because the previous statement didn't exist. But there's no interest free period for cash advances at all, even if you pay in full by the due date.

I have a question. As already mentioned in another thread I have applied for Vanquis after waiting the 6 months. When I last applied I had awful credit history but have now managed to get a £700 limit with JD williams and a proper current account with abbey instead of an instant plus. I still have an unsatisfied default from 2005 but the other 2 defaults on my account are settled. In anyone elses experience do you think it will be a yay or a nay.

I'm sick to death of Vanquis. Only had my card a couple of months and it got declined again yesterday making me look like a right idiot in the shop and i know full well there's plenty of credit there to cover my purchase! More transactions have had problems than not since i got the card.
