I have had mine for two months and got an increase from £500 to £1000.
Paid off in full both months.....0 -
Oooh cif thats good. I primarily want it for getting my credit record looking more healthy (the defaults were due to a work injury which they did me over for and a nervous breakdown) And maybe booking a hotel for OH's birthday present (he's got Muse tickets for Wembley and I need to sort the hotel, but most want a c/c just in case)** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

I really don't understand their scoring processes...I was always under the assumption that ccjs were worse than defaults....acht well...we shall see if my appeal makes any difference...hopefully...it would be nice to have a cc again...0

Vanquis do not score a default and CCJ -- they score the person and their ability to repay coupled with the historic data and the liklihood of reoccurrance. So if you had a CCJ in 2004, then say a default in 2007 they are likely to decline you as you've shown on two separate occasions you cannot manage.
If, however all the defaults/CCJ's are round the same time it will look better as this suggests you got into one situation of financial difficulty.
make sense?
But to clarify, a default and a CCJ is the same (as scored by other lenders)2010 - year of the troll

Well my I have a default from 2005 and 2006....so that may be my problem...oh well....And I didn't know that ccjs and defaults were essentially the same....you learn something new every day....0

A CCJ means they have got a court order (judgement) whereas a default means they havnen't but technically a CCJ is worse because it is a defaulted account first and foremost with a court order attached if you see what I mean?
But in theory, they are both the same (i.e. to other lenders)
A default for 2005 and 2006 may not affect you cos one lender may have defaulted you after the 1st missed payment whereas another lender may have not done it til a year later so as I say, wait and see what Vanquis say2010 - year of the troll
