Morning all
Feel like a zombie... Got about an hour's sleep before waking up, couldn't get back to sleep and thought baby *might* be coming... No such luck!
Got to bed after an hour, lay half awake for ages before DD1 came in about 5am saying she was hungry, I was in no mood to be running around after her at that time but realised DD2 was awake in her cot so had to get up
Managed to settle them both but they rolled on in again after an hour and a half, the whole of which I'd spent half awake again... OH usually quite diplomatic about the girls climbing into bed but he actually ordered them out of the room because they were so darn noisy - he's never done that before and funnily enough they took him seriously straight away.
Lovely neighbour across the road texted asking if I would like her to take DD1 to school so I thought, ah, less hassle with not having to get DD2 organised, but DD1 being awkward and only wants mummy to take her (any other day she'd be running out of the door across the road to walk to school with them!) so mildly irritated - but sure I'll live with it!
Seeing midwife later, hoping things will get going soon as was feeling a bit despondent about having ot have baby in hospital yesterday as nothing happening and a mummy friend had her baby who was due this week already. This is true. I had my 2nd daughter at home and got through 3 cannisters of gas and air. One of the midwives had to leave and go get some more.:rotfl:0 -
Heya lovelies.
Sorry I haven't been around. I had spent a couple of days in hospital.
As you know I hadn't been feeling too good and was diagnosed with Tonsillitis. Well, the antibiotics weren't touching it at all so Sam's lovely mum made another emergency appointment at the doctors for me and my lovely Sam came with me. That's when I was referred to the hospital to have some IV antibiotics and some fluid via IV too as I'm dehydrated and I was diagnosed with "Quinsey" - basically an abscess at the side of my tonsil.
I seriously think this was one of the most painful things I had to endure, and believe me, I have endured alot of things in my 22 years. I was practically begging to be dosed up, just so that I didn't have to feel any pain.
The nurses were so lovely to me though - a few even saying they can imagine how much pain I'm in.lol.
The drip came out yesterday (Tuesday). At first having the antibiotics via drip didn't hurt, but then when the IV was in my arm and the nurse injected it...now that almost killed.
Then, I had to have the drip put back in last night in my right hand.
Sam and his mum came and visited me and kept me company and stuff and I also created a new piece of artwork whilst in hospital.
Also, thankfully, I didn't have to have the massive needle they wanted to shove down my throat. XD.
I'm feeling alot better now though. I can even talk. I feel so sorry for Sam. I'm going to make up for all the days I haven't been able to talk properly.
I get my glandular fever test results back on Friday. I'm meant to rest for a week and have been given alot of antibiotics and painkillers. If I do have glandular fever, I'll have to rest for two weeks.
I'm just happy to be back to my usual bubbly self, to be honest.

Although I went into labour with both my daughters my waters wouldn't break. They had to break my waters for me which means that you go very suddenly into painful labour (and you've already lay there thinking it was painful enough! ) However, both my labours were trouble free and went smoothly.
These babies only come when they're ready and I wish you all the best, jo-R. Its probably a boy - they're the lazy ones who want to stay being mollycoddled in the womb for as long as possible!:rotfl:0 -
