I bloody well hope so ab, I'm getting more than enough extra time to practice being relaxed!
Went into labour naturally with DD1, waters never broke so she was born "in the caul" which is meant to be v. lucky! With DD2 I had induction, and they broke my waters for me which kick started the whole thing - I say the "whole thing" but what I actually mean was three weeks' worth of extra waiting was then followed by a very intense but quick two hour labour so I suppose I can't complain (although it hurt like a swine!)
This time (she says), I am going to have a nice, calm, peaceful and straightforward birth in the comfort of my own home, really calm and very zen - I just need to let baby know of this so he can come out - and yes it is a boy, awkward from the start eh?Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

hope you're baby comes soon jo and shaz - go have a winge at them!!!!
I kept my self quite busy today. I made sure I got up and dressed this morning, and then i went down to morrisons this afternoon to get a few top up items of food. It was a 2 hour walk, but kept me busy and distracted.
Oh my gosh. That sounds horrible. Isn't that kinda dangerous, what with the pus and everything? Eeek!
They wanted to drain mine but to be honest they would have been very lucky to even get me to open my mouth half way. The doctor was going to try on Wednesday morning but it had already gone done so didn't need to be, thankfully.
I'm sorry you had one too, but it's also nice to know that someone else knows how painful it is. I swear people thought I was a woos or something!2019 Wins

Just want to say thank you for all of your wonderful posts. You put such love and comfort into your words. I always look forward to reading them, as not only do you put me at ease, you also make me laugh, which is a great hobby of mine. Although, I swear sometimes I laugh too much.:rotfl:

I hope all goes well for you & your home birth, I so wanted this when I had my DD but that's a story for another time methinks
My last baby ( now 22yrs) a boy .... stop start labour & then induced 3 wks overdue
I think I have to agree with beachbeth
'These babies only come when they're ready and I wish you all the best, jo-R. Hi everyone
Jo_R hope baby comes along soon, the little un is not just keeping you waiting but all of us on here as well, how is dad coping with the wait?
For those in pain, hope you recover very soon now.
For those who are just finding life difficult, well spring is just around the corner so hang in there.
I've taken my head out the oven and was even making plans for our next holiday. Still having trouble sleeping at nights, maybe i'll try going to bed later. Only have to work 4 hours this afternoon so should be okay to get through the day, also seeing the doc to change my meds (shhhh we're not allowed to mention that word here)
Hope everyone has a great day or the best they can under each ones circumstances. Take care Sssssss.0 -
Hi guys!
And we've made it to Purrsday!Hoping everyone is well.
I'll start by sending a warmto lizzydripping (lizzy). It's been a long time since I've heard that name, angel!
I noticed your name in the thanks list and just wanted to say hello and thanks for reading. Feel free to join in at any point if you'd like to do so, lizzy.
Also some extra Tiffy hugs to saz, shaz, jo, may, anni, beks, blues, alba, beth, ccstar, fairy, mezer, donny, amber and well, anyone who needs one.
Busy, busy day for the Tiffster. At 8.30a.m., my cpn is coming and is bringing a student with him. You'd have thought he'd have learned his lesson by now!
(Claws sharp? Check. Muzzle hidden? Check. All exits covered? Check.
)
I know I'll probably end up shedding a few Tiffy tears but then I have to dry any tears and get ready, because I'm going into town on a secret mission.Might tell you about it - might not!
Don't worry, it's nothing too exciting - wouldn't want to break any habits.
And naturally, because this has all been planned, I woke up feeling
!
I thought I'd leave you with some piccies for now guys - I think this one confirms something that many people have already suspected for a long time...;)
Have a lovely Purrsday folks - I'll try and pop in and out if I can.
Much Love,

Hi nps!
It's good to see you posting again, hun- how are you?
I may have an idea or two here for you sweetheart.nps wrote:Can anyone pls recommend a good book to read for someone like myself who suffers from depression/anxiety?

The author, Claire Rayner, wrote a series of books called ''Performers'', based in various areas of London. She has also written what I call 'generation' novels. Do check first though because she covers many genres.
Although it's more in the realms of the imagination, ''The Borrowers'' series by Mary Norton, is another very good collection.
I hope this helps hun - shout out if you need any other ideas.
Take care angel.

Hi mezer!
How's you today, bry?
Thanks for your post - you're more than welcome, hun - not a problem.
Of course I'll post on the other points, angel - I just wanted to post this one first because I feel it can help me understand a little more. Can you tell me what mental health support you have - gp? psychologist? etc. and have you been assessed by anyone?
I'm going to start with your last post hunnie. Don't worry, I'm not having a go at you or anything like that.mezer wrote:i cant promise im actually going to sit down and make those decisions anytime soon, but if you could carry on with what you were going to say - whenever you get time!!!! - then that would be really nice.....
I just felt that uni was a huge issue that impacted on many areas in your life and that it would be a very good, though not nice, place to start. I wonder because you said that you have many deadlines looming sweetie, and because they're uni related, we know they need to be looked at very soon. You may not have the luxury of delaying things too much and I only say this, angel because I know how all these things are affecting your depression.
mezer wrote:.....one day i just feel like im gonna burst, and everything is just going to come flooding out. Before you cart me off to a padded room guys,, this is a very common scenario. There is often that moment where we 'burst'. It's usually the point where most of us get a wake-up call and finally receive/ask for and/or accept, the help we need and deserve.
It's a common analogy, but think of your mind as being a water barrel. If you're 4*, (!) like me, then you're likely to have a dirty great big barrel.
For every stressful event, each trauma, each struggle, each negative emotion in our lives, a drop of water falls into the barrel.
Some people are more fortunate than others and have a half empty barrel. Others, like myself, have had regular deposits of water into their barrels. We carry on coping and living, usually oblivious, until the day comes and more drops of water fall into the barrel when it's full to the brim. The result is that it all those drops of water start to spill over and flood out and that's usually our crisis point, guys. And just as with any other crisis, we need to call in the experts to stem the flood.Sorry hun, I took a detour there.I just don't want your barrel to overflow, bry. I know it's a gigantic effort and it's hard to look situations straight in the face and make decisions on them when we're poorly. But this is how we change the situations and hopefully avoid the flood, or limit it as best we can, before it happens. I'm not a professional angel and I'm not telling you how to live your life in any way -I guess what I'm doing is issuing a flood alert.
I'll close now hunnie, and I'll post on the other parts in the next day or so. I noticed your later post when I read through this morning and I'm pleased you had a more positive day - well done you!
Be kind to yourself angel.
