Good morning everyone. It's a funny old day here.Light rain one minute,a flurry of snow the next. It's very mild though but it was windy last night and I'm going to have to go and pick up half the contents of my dustbin that has blown everywhere.
Going into town today got some shopping to do.Don't have a clue what we'll eat.I don't have any inspiration at the moment.
Looking forward to the rest of the week.My hubby is taking time off as so we can just catch up on things.

Morning all, what a windy night! and not because of the beans and pulses! lolPopped to Mr T last night to get a few bits and pieces so I wouldn't need to do a delivery til next Wed and still managed to spend £57:eek: Ended up stocking up on pulses and flour etc as I'd used loads for baking lately. In fact I was looking at the shopping as it was on the checkout and it looked like a OS starter pack, strong flour, yeast, plain flour, lentils, cannellini beans, whoopsied bread and loads of fruit! In fact I think the only proceessed food there were crisps at the request of OH and they were reduced:D
Dinner tonight is lentil curry from the freezer, taking LO to her activity class today and then going to play round someones house so I'm taking the rock cakes LO made on Sunday.
So I've got about an hour to get some work done round the house, so better get my a**e in gear!!!!!0 -
Morning all.....................((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) if you need one............
My second go at posting this morning....the first one got locked out!!
We had rain last night which turned to snow as we were going to bed, this morninge just have slush........
Will try and get OH out for a walk, he has been ok the last few days thankfully.
The workamn turned up yesterday to fit a new thermostat on our heating, about time too......its a pity that a complaint letter is the only way you can get anything done.....we only waited 14 months for them to do it.....
No plans for today except to put the breadmaker on..........we used the last of a loaf yesterday.
Toad in the hole tonight for supper.....not sure what is for pudding yet I have some fruit in the freezer, might do a crumble.
Off for my second coffee........cheersWas 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning :hello:
PP, I'm still laughing at your OH's conversation :rotfl:
2 inches of snow fell in an hour and a half last night, it was still snowing when I went to bed. I can't believe it settled cos it rained all day yesterday. This morning the roads are slushy and icy, and there's no way I'm walking on those pavements
I'm waiting to do some maths, miss tru's job was advertised at an hourly rate but I have a feeling that was for over 21s. She'll find out later then I can re-do the budget - I don't charge the kids a set amount, they pay a % of their earnings.
I’ve sped around the house already, so a lazy rest-of-the-day for me
Here's an example of mr tru's grocery spending - he went to buy 24 eggs and 8 pints of milk. He ended up spending £17.10  :rolleyes:Bulletproof0 -
Good morning everybody! :hello:
Mrs Mix, good luck at the dentists :grouphug: I hate the dentists too.
Diva :grouphug: to you and Tristan xxx still thinking of you
Huge :grouphug: too to all who want or need one
Well the snow came down thick and fast last night, and it was so windy that at times it was coming down practically horizontal! Then it turned to sleet and finaly rain overnight, so not too much still on the ground. The skies are blue now but it's still blimming cold! I'm thinking of all of you with terrible weather xx I've just realised that sounds sarcastic. I promise it's not meant to beI am so grateful to read this, SunnyGirl! I thought I must be the only cynical woman around - as I too can't stand Valentine's Day and all that goes with it.
Can I join the club?! I've always thought it's more important to demonstrate your love all year round... when you think about it, an horrifically expensive bit of printed paper and a couple of flowers that will die within the week are a pretty poor expression of that love! I might make some biscuits with heart shaped cutters rather than my usual ones (er... giraffes and dinosaurs mainly... and I don't even have kids:o) but otherwise, I'll leave valentine's day to the singles!
Well, our friends didn't come over last night because of the weather, so they're coming tonight instead. So we had a third day of lamb to use up the leftovers. (I offered Dave all kinds of ingenious recipes to use it up, but he opted for a third roast dinner in a row instead  I'm so pleased he's not awkward though!) Tonight with the peeps round I thought HM pizza might be a fun option, plus of course chocolate cake http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/9073/dense-and-dark-chocolate-loaf (I'm doing my Homer Simpson drool and I don't even like cakes really). Got to get lots of phonecalls made and go to the docs, then carry on listing books at play.com/amazon/greenmetropolis.
Have a good day everyone xxx0 -
Morning All! We're anti- Valentine's day too - can't believe how much flowers etc jump in price!
Dog found sack of dried food yesterday - only for a few minutes as he was too quiet!! - but three times I had to get up in the hight to let him out! And DH was up once as well apparently (I must have finally fallen properly asleep!) Anyway, each time it was snowing hard again, but this morning it's turned to rain. Am heading off to the gym again soon before tackling some of the housework. JackieO - your course sounds really interesting.
R-mac - come on, we need to know!
Have a good day folks - with ((HUGS)) to all in need.Resolution:

T last night was Chicken fried rice for DD's with the LO chicken from Roast on Sunday, Jkt Spuds with Tuna s/corn S/Onion for me and DH. Tonight is Pork Loins and Mash.
DD'd Packed lunch, L/O Tuna s/corn and pasta, youghurt, grapes and wagon wheel (but don't tell the lunch box police;))
Have just sorted out washing  don't know where it all came from:rolleyes:, so wading through that today, it bitterly cold out but v windy so it's going on the line.
DH has gone to hospital for blood tests, so will be starving by the time he comes back.
The snow is slowly dissappearing now, but it's still on the hills.
