morning
had more snow overnight which has turned to ice and the roads are treacherous, ( i think the main roads are ok though) we live at the bottom of a hill that you have to go up to get out and its been very interesting watching cars trying to get up.
I have to go out at lunchtime to take DD2 to physio at the childrens hospital so i am hoping it will have cleared by then
need to tidy up
wm on
just had a bacon sandwich nomnomnom
hope everyone has a great day x0 -
Just a quicky as I'm off to work soon. More snow last night before bedtime here in Robin Hood country but none overnight.
Got a funeral at work today (I'm a Burial Clerk as part of my duties) which takes more organising as the paths are treacherous. Feel extra sorry for the families in these conditions.
Hoping to finish on time today and have the afternoon at home to do some batch cooking and organise meals for the rest of the week.
Someone mentioned the supermarkets being short of food. I think some of this has to do with people panic buying. Took Mum to Sainsbugs on the way home from the hospital last Wednesday and it was like Christmas Eve!! I wonder how much of what was bought will end up in landfill as I'm sure not everyone is as frugal as OSers.
Have a good day everyone and (((hugs))) for those who need one.

Morning Everyone - a little more snow yesterday evening, but it's very crunchy underfoot today, and I see the tree branches are dripping, so thaw underway. Have whizzed round the kitchen, changed the bed sheets, cleaned all the mirrirs etc - and now think it's time for a sit-down and a cuppa! Am hoping to get to the gym and change library books later. Chicken'n'rice for supper- ham rolls for lunch. Probably need to put BM on again later, too. Almo - the news from Oz is truly appalling. Can't understand people who make light of such a tragedy (or worse), but as has been said, ignore them. Idiots.
Anyone see the Michael Rosen programme last evening? Thought it was so sad that some small children consider themselves too old to be read to. Also sad to hear HT saying that there's no time for stories any more. My school just quietly continued to read to the children - and we had a school where kids still loved books!
((HUGS)) to all who need them today.Resolution:

 twink -17! That's a bit extreme! Make sure you wrap up well if you have to go out.
Thanks to all who wrote kind words - mrstittlemouse, redruby, snowyowl, penny-pincher, donny-gal, beemuzed. I've calmed down after having had my dinner (pasta, sun dried tomatoes, bacon and onions:T ) and can see that it's not worth me getting bothered about. I don't mind people having different opinions to mine - although I hardly ever post there I quite enjoy the discussions on DT but this poster was just out to cause trouble - silly me rose to the bait!
Am off now to get myself sorted for tomorrow. I don't know how you lot get up so early and are compus mentis (sp) enough to post on here! I stumble around in the dark and quite often can't remember the walk to the train station :rotfl: . That means everything has to be ready - clothes laid out, gym bag packed, lunch ready, oats in bowl. I can't deal with any thinking at 5.30am.
penny-pincher glad to hear you're feeling a little better today.0 -
Morning :hello:
I've got the iron, ironing board and a pile of creased clothes out and ready but can't quite bring myself to actually switch the iron on  :rotfl: I didn't use an ironing board for ages, the steam generator iron steams clothes on hangers really well. Mr tru bought a load of work shirts - the labels say non-iron but they're worse than normal ones
I need a few bits and pieces so might walk to Lidl later, then over the road to the fruit and veg shop. It's raining at the mo so I'll wait and see if it stops. If not, I'll to wait for mr tru and we can go in the car - I don't want to go with him though, it's dangerous for the bank balanceBulletproof0 -
