I doubt we'll see the 1p flights again until the low season i.e. November. But £5 or £10 is little enough to pay.

They've had them for June before now. Though with all the cutbacks and plane-groundings this year I agree it's unlikely. And as I said, very unlikely for summer sun destinations, particularly where (as in the OP's case) it's not a daily route. (My 1p summer flights were all to Ireland.)

Oh - thank goodness for that! Got to admit I just saw the headlines when paying for petrol so didn't read the full story. It got me all worried!

During the safety demo on a recent Ryanair flight my other half whispered to me (with a faux Irish accent): "It's extra for the lifejackets"

Had a Luton /San Javier return trip last week, both at security and the gate people turned away for having more than there allowed one bag, handbags that would not fit in the case where considered hand luggage and the hand luggage bag was sent back to be checked in at the check in desk at the going rate for luggage.. This was at both the gates at Luton and San javier and the security only at Luton( where they were very straight talking and one bag or stand to the side NOW  )
Even though the plane on both trips was 20 people + short of capacity the overhead lockers were full and the attendants were taking any extra bags off the passengers and down stairs and placed in the cargo area on the plane. So a little word of warning if you are one of the late arrivals on the plane during the mad dash ensure you do not have any medication you need for the flight or remember to take out those refreshments you bought a little cheaper in the departure lounge as once in the hold they are there for the duration.

I paid less than £24.00 for the round trip followed every thing as per the website paid with an Electron card and arrived at both detinations sub 20 minutes of arival time

Cheers ryanair you are #1 in my book

Don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but apparently Ryanair are considering implementing a £1 fee to use toilets on their planes..

    I know it's 'no-frills', but still - isn't that pushing it a bit?

They aren't considering it. Watch the interview; it was the interviewer and not Michael O'Leary who suggested it. This whole media flurry has been Ryanair capitalising on the "no publicity is bad publicity" adage. It got Ryanair's name into the headlines, and doubtless got some new customers clicking onto their website for the first time. There's been some heavy £5 and now £2 flight promotions this week, probably ensnaring a few people who clicked on to see whether the lav rumour was true.

And, might I point out, your post just confirmed how effective this marketing ploy has been ;)

You say you've not flown with RyanAir before, so what's your issue?
Most people at least give them a chance to !!!! things up before deciding not to fly with them again.

the limitations that you have got with bagage and having to pay to take a case with enough clothes for a week.

I'm happy to pay for use of the toilet as long as it includes use of the Ryanair branded toilet roll that has Michael O'Leary's face imprinted on it. ;)

I bet that Michael O'Leary reads the Ryan Air threads on MSE sometimes and has a chuckle at how he annoys people.

He has the last laugh though as he is a very very rich man and all the time people talk about Ryan Air it is free publicity.

It would be soooo amusing if he came on here under a false name sometime and stirred the Ryan Air threads up with some typical O'Leary comments. Come on Michael O'Leary get yourself on here and give us a laugh
