I suspect the infants and children issue is a Ryanair policy, so up to them to change, whereas the non EU citizen one is law ?? Actually does anyone know if thats true - do Easyjet or BA allow non-EU citizens to checkin on line ?

Yes, my two sons are on my wifes passport and we cannot check in online. I do not have a passport and use my photo driving licence when travelling to Dublin from Prestwick.

Unless they relax their rules, we will be excluded from flying with Ryanair unless we all get passports (which are not needed for entry purposes!). I can check in online on Easyjet, BA, BMI and flybe using my driving licence. In fact I do not think any of those airlines link your ID to the boarding pass.

Why can't you check-in online because your two sons are on your wifes passport?

Prestwick have already had to lay off baggage handlers because of the increase in ryanair passengers are taking hand luggage.
Wont be handy having to try and find an internet cafe with printing facilities for the online check in and printing boarding passes if going away for a couple of weeks unless you can do it 2 weeks in advance. Could lose a good few passengers.

I think you can now print your boarding cards upto 14 days in advance. I guess if you are overseas then the best place to print them out would be a library.

Why not simply get a passport since you would have to have one if you travelled outside of the EEC?

Ryanair are conning us again, ie charging the equivalent of a threepenny bit for a penny flight. I blame Harold Wilson....the pound in your pocket is worth no less than it was befor he devalued it.
