    Hi

Can anyone tell me what this bit is for at the bottom of the SAR letter is for, I obviously don't want to make any mistakes?

    Thanks

I didn't realise in my quote above that it separated the 2 parts, it's the part below.
    Details of:
    SAR (SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST)

That is only for your information, it tells you what the SAR does.

Full account numbers, not just the last 4 digits ? That's interesting !

Yes I sent off the first letter template yesterday, I hadn't got any of my paperwork and I found out I could do this by accident while reading about one of the ppi claim companies, just told them who it was for (lloyds) and they sent 6 full numbers in total.

12 digits long on 3 and 16 digits long on the other 3...just hope these are the ones I need now :o

I sent a SAR off to Natwest around mid January and have heard nothing back, not even an acknowledgement letter :(

However, my £10 cheque has been cashed, so does this mean they are dealing with my request for all my documents?

I have had all my loans through Natwest, so at least I'm only having to deal with one company, but its strange my cheque was cashed very quickly, but no correspondance has been sent since then.

I shredded all my loan documents when they were paid off.

I will try the experian 30 day credit report and see what comes back from that.

I presume it makes no difference that I dropped the letter in at my local branch rather than posting it to the address in the bank addresses sticky?

    Thanks for any advice.

    James.

    Hi,

I was going to send off a SAR to Capital One. I did ask for information on my account but they responded saying the account was closed on 9 August 2007 and that I had not requested the original agreement under a specific statutory request and under Consumer Credit Act 1974 they are not obligated to send me the information.

I think this card was open possilby early 2000.

Is there any point me sending a SAR?

    TIA.

Ring the bank up and ask where your info is, tell them the 40 days are up and if they do not get this to you within 7 days, you will report them to the ICO.

If these accounts are closed you need to send the letter at the beginning of this thread and enclose £10.
