Did you send the SAR to your branch or head office?

on the very first page of this thread, there is a template letter you can use

as its Lloyds you need to send it to the address below

    LLOYDS TSB BANK PLC
    DSAR TEAM
    CUSTOMER SERVICES
    RECOVERY TEAM
    CHARLTON PLACE C57
    ANDOVER
    HAMPSHIRE
    SP10 1RE
I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free

A quick bit of advice would be handy. A number of SARs have been sent to various companies and the 40 day window closes this weekend. If these companies fail to respond within the 40 day window, what is the appropriate course of action? Two of the companies in question have banked the cheques, one of them has not.

    Much obliged!

Hi,you need to contact these, and ask what your next step is

    Hi :)

I finally recieved all of the paperwork from MBNA. Included was the 'sign up' sheet that was used to apply for the credit card. It is clearly marked no for payment protection, yet MBNA charged me payment protection from the start, stopped for a few years then started it up again! There are also a number of other charges that are on the printout sent to me recently but were never mentioned in any of my statements. Could someone please tell me if these charges were ok, or whether I can claim back for them. They are

    Promotional retail interest charged
    Retail Interest charged
    Posted Credit Insurance fees
    Credit Insurance plan coverage
    Finance charge
    Lifestyle Protect.

Late charges were also charged upto £25 a month. How much of this can I claim back?

Thank you in advance for your help :)

Lifestyle Protect. This one i am not sure about, you should put a claim in for all insurance and associated charges for these.
Not sure about the late charges either,if you paid late, then they can charge you for this.

If you win mis sell, they only go back 6 years unless you have proof of insurance going back further, this will be on the statements as seperate transactions.

Look here for reasons for mis sell.

    Successes
    Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid :)
    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)
  • Sorry if I am being silly (I am a newbie!) but what is the difference between an SAR and martin's standard letter template costing £1?
    Thank you!

With a SAR you get all the info they have on you.

If you do the £1 it is for a copy of your credit agreement,if the account is closed, they will not have to give you a copy of your agreement so you will waste time with this request.

If it is for a credit card, then a copy of the agreement may not help you,as some cc ppi is added on when you phone to activate the card.

Hi, can you claim ppi back from mortgages as ive had several over the past 10yrs and im sure I was paying ppi on them?? I also had a 10,000 pound loan to run along side my halifax mortgage and I remember the lady saying she would recommend taking the ppi to get the loan, but that was back in 2003, can I still claim that far back? I have no info on the mortgages or loan. Please help lol

Some Mortgage ppi is very hard to win a mis sell claim with.

As you have no paperwork and 10 years has passed, you may find it hard to get this info.
You could ring Halifax and see if they can find you on the system, they may recommend a SAR,if they do then ask for one, dont forget the £10 fee.

The loan(if you can find the account number) may have had ppi on,but you need to find this out.
