  • I sent my SAR letter to Egg..

    Jenny Gordon
    Data Protection Manager
    Egg PLC
    1 Waterhouse Square
    138 – 142 Holborn
    London
    EC1N 2NA

on 9th May, checked the recorded delivery tracker and it was signed for, but I haven't heard anything and they have not cashed the cheque.

I got the address off of moneysavingexpert, can't remember whereabouts though as it is 2 months ago.

Surely they should have done something by now?

You should have had a response ages ago, you need to chase this up.
Here are the addresses.Unless someone knows a different one for sar request.

Hi, This is my first post about reclaiming PPI. Basically last year I paid off my egg credit card and when I did I noticed that I had been paying PPI even though I had never requested etc. I hadn't been checking my statements which I know i should have been otherwise I would have cancelled it.

I don't have any paperwork for the account i.e. the agreement or statements etc so is it this letter I should send so that I get everything for the account as at the moment I wouldn't even know how much I should be claiming.

Sorry seen a couple of templates on this site so not sure if I should use this one.

I don't mind paying the £10 if its the right one.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
  • Hi

A bit of a daft question, I had a lloyds tsb credit & bank account & loan and a loan with Blackhorse. I can only remember the account number for the bank account. If i put that on the letter, will they send me all the details pertaining to the credit card and loans aswell. Or do I need to send a seperate letter each for them?

Thanks I very new to all this !

Hi there,is there any chance you know the card number? as this is all you need to make a claim.

If you dont then send a SAR request for all info they hold on you,you can use a template letter do this
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-credit-card-insurance#lettc

Just alter the wording to Sar request not agreement.
You dont need to work out what they owe you they do that if you win.

If you have the card number just put a mis sell claim in,look here for reasons for mis sell.

You could just phone the card company,as it was only closed last year they may give you the info.

Hi there, if you do internet banking then check online first for old statements that will show the payments you made,if it was dd then it will have the account number there,if not just do what i told the poster above you to do.

    Hi,

I had a few loans ( rescheduled) and a credit card with egg. I sent the letter as suggested on the pip section of the website for copies of credit agreements under CCA 1974 section 77 & 78. They have all ended within last 6 years. They say the right to be provided with the info ends with the closure of the account.

Is a SAR different to this and would they be obliged to send the copies of the agreement ? Seems like they are trying to avoid sending them to me !

Thanks for your help. One of them is near to 6 years so trying to resolve ASAP.

Hi there, yes a SAR will get all info they hold on you, they have to comply within 40 days, this will cost £10 for each bank i am afraid.

Do you have any of the account numbers at all?.

    Hi amersall,

Yes I do-the funny thing is they gave them all to me in the letters refusing to give me my agreements!

I'll send it off and see what comes back. Can't recall whether i ppi on all of them or which ones I did

    Thanks
