Hi.
That template letter seems great, but if you do not still have account numbers, how is the best way to word it so they don't send the origional letter back saying they want the numbers. I can remember my home address at the time and the actual branch i used if that helps.0 -

Hi Orville
I would give them as many details as possible, obviously your full name, any addresses you lived in whilst under the accounts, also your date of birth and if you remember any dates of when you taken them out, even the year should be ok and when you settled the accounts.
I would start by putting all these details on the top of the letter.;)
Have you tried just calling into the branch to ask, if the accounts were taken out with your bank, by using your bank account number may help, and you can also give them the bank account number on the SAR letter if you decide to SAR them, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Ok, I sent my SAR to WFS, and within around 2-3 weeks I received a load of documentation with a note that the record of payments was to follow. This has not appeared and it's now over the 40 days
Any suggestions on format for the follow-up "where is my schedule of payments???" letter?
Cheers in advance0 -

Hi
Sorry to have missed this.
Have you heard anything further since you posted on this one last?
I know with one of mine, they came in 2 separate bundles, within 2 weeks of each other, but if the 40 calendar days passed you can chase them up on this matter if not heard anything.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Oops no I havent! I was reminded when I got a letter from the FSCS asking if I was still carrying on with a claim as they'd not heard from me. I need to reply back to them stating I'm still waiting for some SAR info0

Hi ya, always recieve site emails but this is my first time posting, just want to clarify a few things if you could be so kind.
I had a tesco loan from 1997 ish that i topped up 2-3-4 times and so it carried on over the years untill 2 years ago i payed it off before buying my first house, problem being i binned all the paperwork with my fresh start, and i have no idea if i was paying ppi or not.
So i guess i should send a sars letter to tesco personal finance with my old address, bank account number and personal details then just read through the information they should send back? think i have read thi correctly, just wanted to clarify as i have none of the old tesco's loan paperwork, thanks, Jason.0 -
Hi there, with this last loan finishing in 09, give them a ring and they should have the last loan details and maybe show the link to the previous ones,if you get no joy then you can SAR them and this may throw all loans up.0

Hi there
The 40 days is correct, "Calendar days", if you have not received anything almost near to the date, you could ring them and ask them if its on the way, they normally send by recorded delivery, so someone will have to sign, you could make sure on that with them as well the same time, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi,
I'm sure this question will have been answered somewhere, but I've looked through the thread a few times and am still confused.
One day in 97/98, me being a wee fresh faced 18 yr old, I went to a local shopping centre where I was stopped by a woman with a clipboard and signed up to an MBNA credit card. I finally paid the credit card off in full in September 2009. During the time I had the credit card I had gone over my limit and missed payments. I have only managed to find one statement that shows I was paying payment protection cover which I can't remember signing up to. Which letter do I use to request all information on all charges and payment protection cover for the duration of the account?
Thank you for your help
