Ok, you've got me perplexed then.

They don't suspect you of laundering (the money ..... not the underwear kind) otherwise they wouldn't tip you off. So if you're not logging on from an alien PC .... they must have been short of something to do, and you were on the 'pester' list! ;)
well Could be the underwear type ....:rotfl::T

Remember that the qualifying £1K credits need to be in the month commencing with the account opening date shown as the opening balance date on the statement. If you transfer a £1K balance to qualify for the monthly £5 take care to transfer in the right statement period....it is so easy to just transfer and end up with two qualifying £1K credits in one statement period and none in the next. Get it wrong and Halifax will jump on you. Of course if you have a regular monthly SO setup then the problem doesn't occur. It is only online transfers that need to be sent during the right time slot.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I thought it was during a calendar month you had to get £1000 in, not related to which day of the month you opened the account?

This is incorrect. It is a Calendar Month you have to pay the £1,000 into the account.

My Mum has just checked her OD and it says in the change or amend details

Your current OD limit is £XXXX

Then below it says "We are unable to process your overdraft request online due to the specialist product you hold."

Can anyone shed some light on what it means please.
