Working in exactly the same job as Katy I cannot forgive her. Product knowledge is one of your most important tools. I would never give any incorrect information to a customer, even if I am 100% sure of an interest rate or condition I would always check on the intranet or internet before giving that information to the customer
As this was face to face she could EASILY have bought up the website to SHOW me all the features and benefits whilst confirming the current offer. 'Here is what we can offer you Miss. Kavanne, what are you looking for from a credit card at the moment?' but no, a poor review by all accounts.
There were occasions in my branch manager days where the web offering and the branch offering were different. No idea if that's the case here.
As a bank account customer do you qualify for the 12 month deal though?0 -

You're really going to have to concentrate better .... and learn to spell 'accounts' correctly.
Otherwise the swear filter will get really p!!!!d off with you!It sends an electric charge to your chair after 5 failed attempts. And I think you only have 1 left.
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
But then again I do have VERY high standards.
I'd gone in to open the 2-year 8% monthly saver (and requisite current account) which was opened without a problem. However, when I brought their (very soon to be launched) 'save the change' scheme into the conversation the advisor appeared somewhat confused.
Her: What's that?
Me: Pardon?
Her: I haven't heard of it.
Me: Didn't you see the 4 foot square poster in the window at the side of the entrance door when you came to work this morning (and/or yesterday and the day before?)? :rotfl:
That's probably why I gave 'Katy' the benefit of the doubt.0 -

Unfortunately that is on the 'One' card and Katy kindly informed me I could only have one 'One' card (which I do) and could only have a charity card as a 2nd card. Would love that offer though lol.
I'd make a great Banking Adviser.
Don't listen to what the customer tells you.
Flog whatever you can to smash your targets and if you fill the wrong form in I'm sure we can do something to get it on the figures before the end of the quarter!0 -
It sends an electric charge to your chair after 5 failed attempts. And I think you only have 1 left.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

I am confused.
I already have a normal "Current Account" with the Halifax. As well as a Variable Websaver and a Reward Websaver.
Can I just open three Reward Current Accounts, or can I only open two, and I have to ask them to convert my standard Current Account to a Reward Current Account? Or can I do either?
I've just attempted to open one Reward Current Account and it has said they need to make a decision, and it will take up to 7 days. The details are showing up on the online banking but it just says "Application decision" at the bottom.
Would anyone please be able to clarify? Thank you.
Also how would one go about getting BOS Reward Current Accounts, just apply on their website too? Can you do that and get it to show up on the Halifax online banking or..?
Yes I've read the whole thread but it isn't that straightforward for my minuscule noggin0 -

This is my uinderstanding of your following questions chaotic_j. I may well be wrong! Can I just open three Reward Current Accounts, or can I only open two, and I have to ask them to convert my standard Current Account to a Reward Current Account? Or can I do either?
You can do either. If you open three now, it will be interesting to see what they let you do with your normal account when they phase it out.I've just attempted to open one Reward Current Account and it has said they need to make a decision, and it will take up to 7 days. The details are showing up on the online banking but it just says "Application decision" at the bottom.

They are doing exactly that. Making a decision. Judging by the similar experiences of some of those posting, it is nothing to get too concerned about. Also how would one go about getting BOS Reward Current Accounts, just apply on their website too? Can you do that and get it to show up on the Halifax online banking or..?
Have a go and see. I don't remember reading much about this question in this thread.Yes I've read the whole thread but it isn't that straightforward for my minuscule noggin
Nor for mine.
We will see how much I thought I knew compared to how much I really do shortly.0
