Added £21.54 to my new car fund
The
Car busted yesterday, started making a funny noise last night, like two pieces of metal rubbing together. The bestest daddy in the world (My dad!!) took it to the garage today for me, as he was off work, and he paid the £340 it cost to fix it!! (I will be paying him back though
)
Thats all the news for now

Hiya
That's a bummer about your car, but good to see you still doing great guns with the savings. Well done.
Can't remember when you said your trip to Inverness was but if you not been already, enjoy, and then I think you were going even further afield, so again enjoy that too, you really deserve it.

Hi Primula,
Due to the car and the Stereophonics  (I will explain later on in my post) I am now not going to InvernessThink I will try for a weekend later on in November.
I smashed my Teramundi to help pay for the Car and it actually has covered all bar £100 of it :T
I did do a bad thing that was very anti MSE but for me it was a must - I booked Stereophonics tickets  I love Kelly Jones just a little (Well alot actually :heartsmil) Next March will be my 9th time going to one of their gigs!

Quite right booking these tickets for yourself.
Remember if you are booking train tickets to Inverness, the Sainsubury deal - go anywhere in Scotland return for £15.
Well done on your terramundi. I have never had much out of mine, but then again, I don't put much in it to be honest! I have not broken mine though, I use a knife and tweezers to raid it! LOL
OH cut a hole in the bottom of his and then taped it back up again! very MSE! LOL0 -
Well, today was D-day
I went to the bank on Friday 25th September with my Trust Deed discharge letter in hand.
Spoke to a very lovely lady on the help desk, explained that I wanted to open a Current Account and that I had just received my discharge letter. She took my discharge letter and went to speak to an advisor and came back. She said as I had just received my discharge letter the credit reference agencies may not have updated thier files and for my sake didn't want a credit check done and for me to be refused an account. She suggested waiting a week or two before applying for the Current Account as the bank did want my business.
I made an appointment to go into the bank to discuss opening a full current account. That appointment was this morningand again I went in armed with my Trust Deed discharge letter. I was actually quite nervous about it all because I didn't know if I would be granted the account or not.
I need not have worried! my file notes already had the details about my Trust Deed and that I was hoping to open a Current Account. As the young lady who was dealing with my account today brought up all my details, she said "Oh I see you have been pre-approved for a Credit Card":eek:
We went through the Current Account application including the credit search and I got approved :j:j Visa debit and Cheque book again! (F_F - NO OVERDRAFT!!)
Then we went through the Credit Card application I have taken it as I think it will be a good way of repairing my credit score. As it was pre-approved there was no credit search and I got to choose the colour of my card, I chose a pink oneBUT the big :eek::eek: was my credit limit - £2500 :eek::eek: (Please insert swear words here!!) I will be reducing this to £1000 when I get the card through the door. I will also only be using it for paying my petrol each month so I can pay it off straight away.

Well done on your discharge!!
You should be able to reduce the credit limit for the card online as well if you use online banking - it stops you having to speak to muppets on the phone
