Apologies for being a very BAD MSEer and not updating my diary for ages
:o
So all in all my savings are doing great and I am doing great!!
Promise not to leave the updates so long next time!!
Boo for not updating :rotfl:
Nice to see you again! *waves*0 -
I thought I would update my little diary today.
I have been a clever girlBefore anyone says anything I'm thinking ahead!! I have got about 50% of my Christmas presents bought!! Between Partylight candles, The Book people and another book club that comes to work and buying craft kits for some of the kids when cheap in Tesco I'm pretty sorted!!:T:T
This year is going to be a its going to be a fairly inexpensive Christmas compared to previous years!!

Yay, well done you. Nice to see you updating again. You are doing great with your savings.
Good news on the christmas front too. I have some presents also, and it's a good feeling. Keep up the good work.0 -
Update time!!
Its payday!! :j:j My favourite time of the month
I have spent the last week seriously looking at the savings accounts I had opened when I became DF in February and decided to close 3 of them, but have opened 2 more. I know it sounds a bit silly but I think it will work better for me this way.
The following list was the list of savings accounts I opened when I became DF in Februaury:-
~ 1. Car fund
~ 2. Holiday fund
~ 3. POD (Prescription, Optical, Dental)
~ 4. Social fund
~ 5. Savings account as an online piggy bank (Virtual sealed pot challenge)
These are my savings accounts now:-
~ 1. Holiday and Social fund (I was tending to mix and match when I needed so easier to have them both in one account)
~ 2. POD fund (its still there and has been used!)
~ 3. Car fund (Changed the account to one with slightly higher interest and a cash card just incase I need work done and can't get to somewhere to transfer the money into my bank account)
All these accounts are with my bank.
I have opened a isaver account with IF as my Piggy Bank (for the VSP Challenge) as I was just withdrawing most of the money each month to spend.
As it is now with a different bank I will not be as compelled to simply trasfer the money from one account to another when checking online banking!! I also want to use these savings as some sort of deposit for a new car in the next year or so.
My Monthly saver is now at £2800 and after a week of frequent babysitting added another £65.50 from this to my A&L account. I also added an extra £40 to my A&L account, this was from the extra job I had taken on at work, was more than what I was expecting so I am happy and it has helped me over the £3.5K mark with my savings!
I added £20.92 to my VSP so all is good in Palema land for another little while anyway!
Not alot else has been happening in my life - although I only have 6 weeks until my holidays so on count down (That is only 42 days to go!!) :j:T:j

I am off for 2 weeks in October having a few days in Inverness visiting my friend who I have not seen in ages and a Long weekend (Thursday to Monday) in Poland which I can't wait for as it is a lovely country and I love my annual trip there
I will also try and do some day trips here and there as well but nothing else planned as of yet!

Hey Bowski
Welcome to my little ramblings
Sent you a message in your diary butfor my own diary - day 4 of the no chocolate in September challenge, not feeling too well so that is helping!!! BIG challenge will be next week as it will be TOTM and usually crave chocolate something terrible  I must try to resist and if I do then the rest of the month should't be too much of a problem.
