    Thanks Maria,
We are having a snack morning and wearing something funny, not sure what yet apart from my little miss sunshine tshirt, will no doubt do something really silly with my hair as well. All in the name of charity though!

Had a very mixed day today - Went shopping in Stirling with my mum, spent some money in Primark :D in Boots and the Card Factory! All things I needed, and had budgeted for, which was good.
However, as we were coming home the headache that has been appearing daily since I took a Migrane 2 weeks ago reared its ugly head so decided to pop into my Optician (Optical express) and the nice optician man kindly told me I needed new lenses in my glasses :(
So I asked for a copy of my prescription and went to a wholesaler I used last year and have ordered my new glasses everyday ones, a going out pair and am getting new lenses in my sunglasses for the car for free!!
I have had to clear out my POD (Prescription, Optical, Dental) fund and my virtual sealed pot to pay for them. BUT I got it all for £107 which is pretty good. As it is cheaper than getting new lenses in the glasses I already have :)

Nearly a month since my last post in here so thought I'd better update it!!

Well my house savings are now over the £1K :T:T:T

Got my new glasses and a free pair as well as the optician put a tiny chip in the frames I chose so I got to choose another frame and keep the damaged pair as well :D I now have a pair of transition lense glasses for work and another for when I'm not at work and my going out pair of normal glasses and sunglasses for the car :D

I was away for a long weekend the week before payday and wiped out the £200 in my holiday fund but it was worth it and I knew I was going to be using it.

Got a pretty new 10mp Samsung camera for my 30th Birthday last June and it decided to die on me :( so I took it back got my money back and got a new 8mp Nikon camera in its place :)

I also managed to get a new mobile phone (Samsung Pixon) - new tariff - 600 mins 1000 text plus free web browsing all for what I was paying for 200 mins and 400 texts :D

Going to see the Take That musical - Never Forget - on 30th April, £40 for the ticket and dinner in Harvey Nichols before hand :) NOT very MSE but at least it will keep my mind off my mum who will be in London having an operation that day to try and relieve some of the pain she is currently in all the time from a hamstring injury.

I took out breakdown cover with my car insurance starting when my AA membership needed renewing at the end of this month but have now decided to stay with the AA after I called them up to cancel - Quoted the RAC price and told the nice man that I had gone through quidco to get an extra £20 cashback from it he reduced my payment by £44.50 to pretty much match the RAC price :D

There we have it all my news from the last month
I really need to update this diary more often!!

    Another little update from me.

I've had a busy month, travelling to follow my sports team has cost me a bit in April.

Dinner in Harvey Nicholls was ok wasn't too impressed with the set menu we had to choose from :(
Never Forget was just awesome!! It was so funny and Philip Olivier is gorgeous - especially in his underpants!! :D

My house savings are now up to £1537.35. I'm so impressed with myself its the most I have ever had saved in my whole adult life :T

My mum's operation went well and she will hopefuly be home in the middle of next week.

    Hi Palema
Wow, well done on your savings - how good are you girl?! Of course you know that comes with it's own problems don't you?!! When you see it building up you dont want to take it out, but hey that's a good problem to have! Really pleased for you.
Hope your mum is ok and makes a quick recovery.

    Pay day!! :j:j

Well the last month has been spent helping look after my mum, who thankfully is now on the mend. I had a week and a half off work some taken as holidays and some as compassionate leave as well.

Not had alot of babysitting, I think people are not going out as much as they did a year or so ago. :(

In saying that, I have a babysitting job this saturday and next saturday but after that I'm BUSY!!!! :D
    ~ Birthday weekend
    ~ Take That :T:T
    ~ Weekend away

Doubt there will be alot of money saved other than the money I have standing orders to put away, due to my weekend plans for June. I'm still hoping to reach the £2K mark so fingers crossed! Also got my car's MOT and service this month which I'm sure will cost me a bit :(

Just popped in the say WAY TO GO :j:j:j

You've done a brilliant job. Agree with previous people, now you don't want to touch just let it grow.

Hope your mum is ok and glad you enjoyed Take That. I keep getting the combo Playhouse / Harvey Nicks offers. From the sounds of it the meal wasn't the best? I wish they'd offer Playhouse and Guiliano's yum yum yum.

~ Generally not alot has been happening

    August
~ Had my friends wedding, which was a brilliant day out.
~ Now have 3 more regular babysitting jobs with kids from work! although 1 is not starting until September.
~ I love the Edinburgh Festival - Lots of people going out and needing a babysitter :D am booked up for a run of 5 consecutive nights starting on Saturday.

~ I also got a kind of promotion at work! One of our senior staff is off on long term sick and I have been asked to cover for a little while. Its a little extra in my pay each month, which I will be putting straight into my house saving fund! :j:j:j
