Thought I would update my little diary!!
I was reading through my Gran's daily paper today and it had an advert for their own auction site so I took down the web address and had a look tonight.
Hi Palema,
That sounds a fantastic buy - I hope it works out !
Out of interest, what newpaper / auction site was it ?0 -

Today I made the biggest purchase of my life!! (So far!)
A brand spanking new Hyundai i10 comfort 2010 plateHopefully in metallic blue but if that is unavailable then it will be metallic silver
Hyundai introduced their Trade and Upgrade incentive, for cars aged 7 - 10 years, last Monday and I have taken advantage of that as my Peugeot is a Y reg (2001) plate and got £2000 for trading it in!!
My brother then managed to get me a further £340 off, so technically I have got the metallic paint for free!!:T:T
I have had my eye on the i10 since last year and thankfully I liked it when I saw in close up!! As it turned oout the i10 was the only new car I can afford with the money I have saved up! Anything else I would have had to have taken out finance!!
So I am paying for my car with my savings and starting saving for a house again in April

My 2nd ever car!! When I 1st passed my test I was sharing my dad's car cause I couldn't afford my own. My 1st car is my Peugeot and I bought him 2nd hand at 4 years old in 2005, to me he is great and a very reliable car. I will be very sad to get rid of him as I love him very very much.
I get my i10 on 3rd March - And will be driving it to Glasgow that night to the Streophonics concert!!
Hyundai comes with a 5 year warranty that is literally everything apart from tyres and brake pads.0 -
Aww poor little Pug is off the metal heaven
I hate that good cars are being crushed when its realiable and driveable.
But whey! On the brand new car! The warranty on it sounds great and people say hyundai's are pretty realiable cars.
And wow!!! on the bargin Wii!! Ive always been a bit warey over auctions sites were you bid apart from ebay! Let us know when its arrives!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -

Don't worry Maria, Percy (My Pug) will be sold at auction. From what I can gather for cars aged 7 - 10 years old it is more a swappage scheme rather than scrappage. According to the salesman yesterday the auction is where they make their money on the cars. My Hyundai is so pretty and if I get the colour I want it will be greatStill thinking of a name for my new car but I have a few ideas!!
Wii arrived today!!!!:j:j It works and my arms are bloody sore from boxing!! I have to wait til the weekend to try Just Dance in the living room without my parents around!!Getting it was a stroke of luck but I am so happy I got it, its so much fun

Oh much better than scrappage scheme then! Yay! Your Pug will live on!
Im glad your Wii arrived! I cant believe you got it at such a great price!!!! I Would of been tempted to buy and sell it on for profit! I always thought those bid sites were to be avoided but you've changed my mind now!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -

Sounds like you're having fun with the Wii! Are you another one who doesn't like people being around when they're playing Just Dance? I've not played it for ages as I can never get in the living room by myself and my parents had such a good laugh when I first tried it out at Christmas so I'm avoiding it until the coast is clear now!
Congrats on your new car, btwISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -

I do love my Pug but he is costing me so much money everytime something goes wrong. That is the main reason for getting a new car

Congrats on your new car, btw
I don't mind playing the games in front of anyone, but I am not allowed to use Just Dance in my room as it makes the house shake!! Going to have a Wii party when my parents go on holiday in a few weeks time!!0
