    Afternoon all!

Well, I still feel a little uuuurgh but nowhere near as much as this morning, so everyone's good wishes must have worked ;) Thanks guys xxx

Halight, sounds like it went well, I still have my fingers crossed for you that you get the job!

It stopped snowing about noon and it's all started to melt now, it's sad seeing the kiddies' snowmen melt though - it always reminds me of the book, it's one of my favourites.

My friend went to the Avon roadshow, not many showed up and it finished earlier than planned, doesn't sound like I missed too much anyway in all honesty, so I'm glad I didn't drag myself out. My friend is at the hotel now for her early flight home tomorrow, she said she was quite tired and I think it was probably partly the stress of all the (delayed) travelling and meeting so many strangers! But it went well, I think we were both relieved to find out that the other wasn't an axe murderer or anything :rotfl:

She gave us some Jersey fudge (which I've hidden from Dave) and some Jersey Black Butter as a thankyou gift. I've never tried the black butter, but it's not really butter at all, it's made from apples and licorice, and its a bit like a jam. So I need some recipes, if anyone has any!

We managed a full day at work today, though I arrived late. I was very busy & some other people weren't so I had 2 extra people helping me, so most stuff got done.
Fingers crossed for halight & hugs to Sybil.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

My clever kitty Teddy let me know what a minging mummy I am today. The litter tray wasn't quite scooped out to his standard of hygiene (I have 3 cats so it gets a bit "congested" shall we say). He managed to reverse his butt into the bag of clean stuff and left a desposit in there. I got the message loud and clear.

    :rotfl:

Once we accidentally shut Mittens away from his litter box. He had evidently thought about the least messy place to poop and eventually did it in the sink

Is french knitting the one where you wind the wool round pins at the top & sort of stuff it down inside? Sorry for the lack of technical talk :rotfl:

We're running out of milk, I can't be bothered to go out now so I'll walk to the Co-op in the morning. Besides, saturday is Minstrel Day so I'll be needing those :D

I baked :j :rotfl: Loads of mini pizzas and quiche - we get though loads of quiche for some reason  I spose it's easy when they're hungry and can't be bothered to do more than zap something extra-quick in the microwave.

I think I know what upset you and it did not look so much as if they were "having a go at" dear heart as suggesting that he was maybe sticking his head in the sand a bit. Most DHs seem to do this and take ages to notice what has been obvious to their wives or partners for what seems like years, especially if it is anything to do with the house.

I don't want to upset you so I'll shut up now.

    I agree with kazzaw

Braved the weather to go shopping and it was not too slippy underfoot.

Family enjoyed the home made quiche and the saute potatoes I did with it.

DD(15) has told me she hates having a sandwich for lunch at school so have offered to bake some cheese, bacon and onion breakfast muffins if she will eat those instead. Alternatives could be home made sausage rolls or mini quiches if they are acceptable for her.

I have noticed that once my DDs are at uni or working and have to do their own shopping, cooking and putting food on the table they become a lot less picky!!!;)

Good luck with the job hunting.

    Haalight

    Fingers crossed for you.

    Hugs and see you later
