Hester - enjoy your day off
    Mudgekin - hugs for you
Sybil - nice to see you back - we missed you and little bear :)
    Happybirthday Churchmouse :)

I am happy, cheerful and remarkably relaxed! We have snow too. Lots in fact :) I walked 2 miles to work and my feet are soaked still.

My office window view at the moment:

Chicken soup tonight for tea. I sort of forgot to put the stock in the fridge, but the flat is about the same temperature so I'm sure it will be fine.

OH's birthday on Saturday (30th). I wanted to take him to the chelsea physic garden, but they have delayed opening this year because of the snow, so we are going to Kew instead. He's very difficult to buy for so I have to think of something quickly tomorrow - I feel really bad for not being more organised - it just sort of crept up on me and I was worrying about my exam too much. Still, i'm sure it will be a nice day. I just hope the buses are running as we are forcast more snow.

Dr Jeckyll has been e-mailing my new boss to see if I needed or wanted anything in terms of equipment. I don't know what to think of that!

Have a good day all, and a huge hug to anyone that needs one, cel x

    Great pic mate:T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T

Halight - I hope that something comes up for you soon it's an odd feeling when you're used to being busy I know. My dh lost his job when our youngest was 5 months old & he hated it. He was over a year till he found something else & that's how he got involved with the local disabled sports group. You hang in there it'll come right. Your wife's fishcakes sound yummy I may be asking for the recipe as it's something I keep thinking about making with tuna for a tasty, cheapish tea :T

Sybil - My middle child, also a boy ;) sounds very similar to your little bear. I used to say that he could start a riot in an empty room! He used to, in fact still does & he's 14 now, have to touch everything that he saw - my favourite saying was/is 'Do you have eyeballs in the ends of your fingers?' :D

I'm done for the day now but am pleased as got everything on my list done this morning & have been able to have a sit down this afternoon. I'm going to get in a hot bath soon & put my jammies on ready for The Bill & ER :D Such an exciting life :rotfl: Have a good evening all. Louise xx

    Happy Birthday little Miss Churchmouse!

Err, that's about all I came along to say. Oh yeah, I'm unemployed now, think I might have mentioned that a few days ago. And I was at the dentist this morning, got a big whopper of a filling for only twenty quid, BARGAIN:rolleyes:!!

Dylan the puddy cat is doing alright, he has become very very affectionate - I have to give him medicine three times a day and he gets extra cuddles and kisses each time but he's greedy and comes back demanding more in between, bless him.

    Has anybody seen Pink-winged about?

Ooo little Pinkie, where are youuuuu???

    That's all for now, bye.

Reverbe hope visit to dentist went well. Are you going to apply for the job at your old place? (not that I think they deserve you after treating you badly)

Yes dentist went fine. I really don't mind going tho apparently a lot of people who go to my dental surgery do. The only thing that gets me is the cold water - it tends to make your eyes water. My dentist says she wishes she could have lukewarm as it makes ppl wince and uncomfy and people like me are in a lot of discomfort cos of it that they shouldnt be during a normal checkupm clean and polish which aren't procedures that hurt. She cleaned my teeth and that made me gums bleed a bit cos I hadn't been for a while- prob about a year since I was last unemployed and then very happily built the corner back on my front tooth. I tripped on some ancient cobblestones near Borough Market and went smack into some old thick heavy iron gates.broke off the bottom of my 2 front teeth but didnt even know til I went home and flatmate said ermmm what happened to your teeth. I was more concerned about the £7 imported Spanish serrano ham I had bought for part of OH's xmas gift which must have fallen out of the bag.

I have already applied for the job through the one click system on the Reed site and as it is my consultant at the local Reed branch that is listed as the contact I phoned him. He was in a meeting but I left a message asking him to call me. He hasnt. I will go and see him tomorrow first thing and if he won't put me forward(as I suspect he never has before for anything) I will drop a letter and my CV off back at Company O on the way home.

Happy they are not my last company but the one I worked for for most of last year, the first ppl to make me redundant when they closed the dept I worked in down. They were actually quite good to me. The assignment was initially for 4 weeks to cover someone off sick with a bad back but it carried on for ages and then they kept me on due to the volume of the work and cos they were very pleased with my work. It wasn't actually my boss who said that about "i'd get bored" etc and I tried at the time to get across to them that I would stay at least the 6 months they wanted, i was happy at company O and loved the people and committed and wouldnt get bored. TBH what makes me bored is times like this when I have NOTHING constructive to do with my time. I am never bored in work - aside from a coupla temp jobs I have had where there wasnt enough work for the hours.I would be overjoyed to work there again. This time would be actually for the company rather than an agency and it is like I said only 30 seconds from the flat - no fares and used to go home for lunch and watch tv and go on the pc.I could leave at 9 am and be there for 9 am and would definitely not have skived off on Monday. The salary is not as much as someone with my skills experience age and qualifications should be earning but then again it is all £XK "in the bank" as it were. Keeping with my OS ways should mean I save a packet.

I follow that Reverbe, thanks (being a newbie on here I sometimes don't have all the history lol). Hope your application is successful.
Re dentists - according to Mother there was a chap on local TV tonight who has been pulling his teeth out with pliers as he was unable to get an NHS dentist and couldn't afford to go private. Ouch!

Meant to post this, a real aaaaaaaah factor http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/story/0,23739,25008941-953,00.html
