Twink – yes, we’ve fed the birds and would you believe I am watching a bluetit go in and out of one of the boxes (must be their winter residence!)
Nice to be able to read your posts again Sybil – poor teddy hope he is non the worse for his dive into the loo.
Reverbe hope visit to dentist went well. Are you going to apply for the job at your old place? (not that I think they deserve you after treating you badly)
Congratulations to soon-to-be Auntie NoahsPennilessMoney hope all goes well.
Mrs. MW good luck with the treatment, hope you are soon feeling better.
Happy birthdayto Freeinthree’s DH
I feel very sorry for those of you who need to get to work and are finding the roads are quite dangerous (not just the snow but the idiot drivers) Take care and keep safe.0 -
Sybil - good to see you back again!
I made banana brownies and banana muffins with the black bananas that I had in last Sunday. Both went down a treat with my DH and my parents as I passed on some to them too.
Managed to get the cooker cleaned today (it's one of those jobs I've got to gear myself up to!) and have given the kitchen a bit of a tidy.
I'm going to take the dog out while it's still dry and there's a bit of daylight left - I love the fact the days are stretching!
Have a good evening0 -
Edit Mrs Mix, i hope that you`re ok. I hate bullies like that  , perhaps we should house swap for a week. He would be so glad to see you back after i`ve finished with him that he would leave you in peace forever.:D

Happy Birthday Churchmouse! :bdaycake: :bdaycake:
Sybil
Nice to see you back here where you belong- have the tune of "Hello Dolly" running through my head now.;)
Had to smile at little bear and the teddy-my 3rd DD had a pink elephant which she adored and could not be parted from and we could not find another one like it anywhere or would have tried your trick. She howled when I hung it out to dry by its ears so I had to make a hammock for it out of J cloths!!!!
Tea will be sausages and gravy done in the Remoska with a potato, swede and carrot home made mash.
I have just baked some small coffee flavoured buns to cheer DD(15) up after all the cold and snow.
Did some shopping for meat and vegetables on Saturday and have been trying not to go out shopping and to eke things out. It is amazing how far things can stretch when you try, especially when you start baking again.
It is almost insulting how when I am using up scraps of things and not trying to do special stuff- that food seems to work out better and be more appreciated.
Hugs to everyone who could do with one - need to check on the Moski!!!!"This site is addictive!"

Hi ,haven't read through yet.
Totally out of synch today.
woke up to beautiful snow and had to scrape 2 cars! Oh's was due in for MOT, so drove to school..........very slippy slidy roads did not enjoy that, took car to garage , had to wait for a grumpy driver to take me home, then had to dash to work, which was fine as main roads are all clear.
Came home, dd1 had missed school bus, class kept in, have complained about this before so have fired off another email!!!
Her friends gran drove her home, was very cheeky and asked if she could drop me off at car garage( on her way home.........our house totally isn't) so she was very kind and took me there.
Have a wedding to go to tomorrow so need to get all clothes & accessories sorted out tonight as we have school and I have a half day at work tomorrow. So it will be a mad afternoon to get everyone all gorgeous!!
Keep warm and stay safe in the snow!

If the wether was not so bad i could go out in the gared and do somthing there. Im planning of growing more of my own veg this year. Depending when dear heart gets in I plan to deep clean the bathroom tonight after tea while dear heart watches little bear. Little bear has a new hobby, cleaning his teeth. Also blowing raspberries into a flannel in an effort to convince me he is washing his face like his dad does. He is also absolutely fascinated by the toilet flush - hence the teddy!
The first time he heard a toilet flush he ran away, but being little bear, nothing seems to last that has any deterrent and now he is working on how to flush the toilet without my help. Thank goodness we are not on a water meter!
So little bear is now spending far more time in the bathroom, so I really need to get it absolutely germ free, decluttered and shining and keep it that way.
There is no heater in the bathroom, but when the chill goes off the house I have a water table I will set up in the bath, plus clean clothes ready, and see how I get on. At the moment little bear treats a bath as a torture chamber - probably influenced by evil cat. Perhaps this may sway his opinion.
Well, I have some basics in cistern blocks, some anti bacterial wipes, a few disposable sponges, sprays and toilet cleaner primed and ready. I just don't know when dear heart will get in, also with the weather and his work getting silly busy, but at least he has some.
Also I was going to give little bear an early tea, so that we were not waiting for dear heart, but he has gone to sleep for a desperately needed nap. Actually, I know how he feels.
Hugs to all.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -

I hope there's no more snow this evening to prevent bus coming/school opening as i need the keys to go shopping..... getting very low on supplies now:rolleyes:.
Went outside with DD's to build a couple of snowmen and had a snowball fight with them they loved it.
DH was out walking the dogs this morning, when he came across a 40 odd yr old bloke with a plastic bag sledging with no kids :rotfl::rotfl:DH said he just smiled and bloke looked like he wanted the ground to swallow him up:rotfl:. He obviously thought if he got out early no-one would see him :rotfl:
I've been really rubbish lately, DH is back to work monday so hopefully can get back into the swing of baking :j

Halight - I hope that something comes up for you soon it's an odd feeling when you're used to being busy I know. My dh lost his job when our youngest was 5 months old & he hated it. He was over a year till he found something else & that's how he got involved with the local disabled sports group. You hang in there it'll come right. Your wife's fishcakes sound yummy I may be asking for the recipe as it's something I keep thinking about making with tuna for a tasty, cheapish tea :T
Sybil - My middle child, also a boysounds very similar to your little bear. I used to say that he could start a riot in an empty room! He used to, in fact still does & he's 14 now, have to touch everything that he saw - my favourite saying was/is 'Do you have eyeballs in the ends of your fingers?'
I'm done for the day now but am pleased as got everything on my list done this morning & have been able to have a sit down this afternoon. I'm going to get in a hot bath soon & put my jammies on ready for The Bill & ERSuch an exciting life :rotfl: Have a good evening all. Louise xx

Hi Everyone! I've had a lovely day today - up to London for a long promised appointment at Ribgby and Peller (an uplifting experience IYKWIM!!!!) followed by lunch with daughter out-law and DGD, plus some time with DS as well. He's looking much better again, but has to go back for further tests next week. He was working so couldn't join us for lunch. DGD managed to knock a full glass od ice-cold water into her Mum's lap - thank goodness for cloakroom driers!
So, not at all OS (tho' spending time with family should be I think!) but lovely - especially as I wasn't sure of the wisdom of travelling today. Have baked some rye and caraway bread which DH fancied....not sure myself! Tomorrow I promise to be really OS and magic meals from nothing (I'll have to having had my treats today!)
VickyA - so glad the news so far is positive - prayers for your Mum for the next bit.
Hester - well done on your productive "extra" day.
Churchmouse - hope you've had a great birthday.
((HUGS)) to all who need one.Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0
